Quinn's Quality Content Curation ~(~Q2C2~)~ Episode 11 Top Choices For Valuable Daily ReadingsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #community7 years ago (edited)

Greetings!

Today is the 11th episode of ~(~Q2C2~)~  !!!!

Every episode has been earning less and less, mostly due to the devaluation of $steem and votes.

I am really grateful that I started this series. I have really enjoyed going through so many posts, even with how much time it takes and how many posts really aren't worth reading.

I find it very fulfilling to find really quality/valuable posts that are not just well done, but are also really beneficial for the people using this platform in our community.

It feels good to share the posts I feel are most worth actually reading, not just voting on, and this is especially so when I get so much feedback from people saying things like "thanks so much for finding and sharing such quality posts", or "I hadn't read that post but I am really grateful I did", or "there are so many shit posts out there it's nice to find a spot where I can just read a handful of quality posts", etc etc.

I would appreciate some feedback, if people are not liking this series for any reason or feel improvements need to be made. I would appreciate it if you let me know! It's a LOT OF WORK for only $20 compensation, especially when it's something I don't even use but just re-invest in the platform itself.

I hope that this episode and further episodes are of real value to you!

I try to be VERY selective and only list the posts that I feel are beneficial to you as an individual as well as to Steemit as a whole. I am excited to publish another Episode of ~(~Q2C2~)~ as I have new posts to share!

You can check out my previous ~(~Q2C2~)~ episodes here:

Thanks for the shout out, Quinn! I appreciate that you're taking the time to curate quality posts and sharing exposure for authors. I trust your opinion on quality, but I like that you still provide reasons to read the posts you select. Hope to see you well rewarded for your efforts!

Thanks for the quality article to feature and all your contributions of the past!

@quinneaker, it's nice to promote quality content but there are other hidden gems out there I guess that deserve promotion too. Most of them are new and have incredible talents as well. And still having less than 1000 followers, mostly minnows.

@ocd content is actually better because they try to promote undervalued 'quality', and 'unique' posts by authors who don't have a lot of sp power yet to propel themselves to the trending or at least the on hot tab.

It would be better for the growth of steemit community to promote the quality content of the new authors to motivate them to stick around and write more.

I've seen a lot of really good authors (not just good content but unique & beneficial, as there are already too many of quality content out here) who are inactive now, possibly not motivated anymore. Despite having to comment on each others posts and giving encouraging messages to continue.

I understand that if they like it here they will stay, but it cannot be avoided that they don't feel motivated sometimes.

Yea, I promoted @ocd in a recent issue.

I also promote one or two level 50something in every episode.

My goal with this is not to try and find new authors but to share important content that needs to be read to be up to date with steemit and the related important topics.

And to all those promoted here with 1000+ followers and only found a few people to follow within a year here on steemit? Are you guys too good to follow something new? Find something new @ocd, it's refreshing. It's getting lonely out there talking to yourselves!

I promoted you and ur just complaining. A good reason NOT to promote you yet I did it anyways.

I shall take note.

Wish you the best.

I am not asking you to promote me, I don't need your promotion. Plus I don't have a lot of sp for you. Good for me though, that people follow me based on my honest opinion without having to copy paste a title below every post. But I complain for the rest, just like the rest. Otherwise, there will be no change you want to see in the world. There will be no awareness.

Ego defenses? Because I said @ocd is better? Just internalize my message first before judging my comment. Listening and seeing through people is one way to broaden one's horizon, and not just be limited to the titles/labels you set to yourself.

On your message you ask people to post their opinion right? + complaining about $20, come on, I thought you're better than that.

hahahaha yes please share your opinion. You have. Thanks for that.

Wish you the best~*~

Lol, here's a post maybe worthy of your 'promotion'. Especially for you lol. I promoted you and the others here, you're welcome. :)

Your reply does not make you look like a poser btw lol.

As I said I wish you the best.
If your truly greater than I, then I will honor it one day.
Wish me the best along the way~*~

Also if it's alright with you @quinneaker and I'm going to mention mr. @steemprice who will be so kind as to tell us the current STEEM price.

Of course!
I hoped that by promoting your article people would also find that as u have posts about it on your page which people will find by checking your article!

Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much!
It means a lot to me coming from someone who has been around so long and contributed so much.
I really appreciate you taking the time to leave some feedback.
I hope to contuse to "be a gem" in providing real value to you and this awesome community!
SteemON!

You sure are and you can always count on my support. Your positive energy always puts a smile on my face!

Awesome!
So glad to hear it and I will strive to continue to be such an influence!
I am thankful that we have a mutually beneficial relationship and hope it only continues to grow!

Thank you for featuring my post in Q2C2.
Manual curation is very important on Steem.
Keep up the good work! :-)

Yes and its sad because even a high paying post often has 1/2 or 1/3 of the views as it has votes....SO even a successful or valuable post is still not really being read. Most of steemit is just trying to make money. I am really hoping to motivate people to really read some of the important articles like yours for example. There is lots of content that improves the experience more than just making $$

Agree.
Fortunately I'm still being able to gather more viewers than upvoters (2-3x more, but IMHO it should be like 10-100x more).
Gathering payout is a 7-day thing, while such post is going to be here forever.
Lets better make it worth resources it takes.
Not $$$-worth, really worth.
Focusing on a content and treating payouts just as a side effect of things we create is the most healthy approach here.

There are still very limited ways of finding content that I would like to see, so in many cases this is a matter of luck - you either post it or miss it. I'm hoping that things would improve significantly with upcoming Communities.

Yes indeed, well as a techie and as a witness your in a good position to help further along these goals.
As you know there are a lot of user interfaces upgrades that need to take place in order for this platform to be mass adopted. Its just to difficult and limited to use.

I started this project to try and get people to actually read articles I felt had important info in them though its only a minuscule amount of help that we really actually need.

Grateful for all you do. Let me know if or how I may help you make i improvements.

DUDE!!! First of all the picture of you holding your arms out like King of the world is rad. That's unbelievable.

The @saramiller post is really useful. I didn't know all I could do with Streemian. I love how there is so much depth to Steem. Socially and technically.
Cheers.

YEs steemit is really quite revolutionary. I am very surprised more people are not using it!
I make it a point to do this project because there is SOO much to learn and figure out and thats why I highlight these posts so people such as your self can find this content and be enriched!

Great selection- thank you for doing all the leg work again!

It is so very worth it when I get @opheliafu to drop by and experience some appreciation ;-)>

Somehow I've never come across your Q2C2 series before, but it's wonderful and I do hope despite dwindling rewards that you continue doing it. Not just because you featured the SCC of course (!) but I really like the way it's to the point and real easy to read... not bulked out with waffle but just 'here's the Thing, why I like the Thing, and why you should check the Thing out!' I think supporting each other in this way will definitely help the community grow, and I too am up for anything that helps people connect and our lives become all the more enriched!

I'm really grateful to you for promoting the Steemit Culinary Challenge, because in my time as host I've seen people becoming good friends right before my eyes... I see such creativity that I've never seen elsewhere... I see people's cooking, presentation and photography skills improve week by week as they learn and adapt and experiment... I see that the participants (myself included as a former participant) grow in confidence and feel strongly the support and appreciation, and it adds sooooo much to many lives. Remarkable really, considering none of us have shared a real life meal, but it feels like we really have!!!

I'm so glad that @quinneaker features you in this post. I love it how community builds and we become close by sharing our passions. Thanks to you both for putting out some valuable and enjoyable content.

Thanks @everlove, I appreciate the fact people are appreciating the challenge! It's funny... I'm not remotely a competitive person but here I am hosting a competition! Haha. But actually it seems most participants are more interested in learning from each other and admiring each other's creativity rather than comparing and seething when one wins and the other doesn't! So it's all good :-)

I agree completely!

Thats why I do what I do and support what you are doing!

Great comment!

Love it! :D You are Awesome <3 @quinneaker

Thanks!
So happy you find this valuable!
Appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment =)>

Excellent effort! Re steemed! What would be useful maybe is to mention what your criteria are for a "good"post. But your description is already very helpful. Need to do some reading now!

Yes, great idea. I was actually thinking of doing a post about that. I will make that a priority now.

Thanks for the feedback and support! Hope the post is of value to you and you tune in for the next Episode!
