Yes, you read it right! Finally our SHRPA website was formally launched already and can be viewed anytime, anywhere. You might be wondering what makes this website so special and why I have to blog it about.? Well, in my first account @lifediaries, I featured SHRPA and expressed how grateful I was, and still am, to be a member of this organization. I even shared the same excitement to the rest of my fellow bloggers in UAE specially those whose line of work are into the Human Resources field. For sure some of my followers are already familiar with this, but for those who don't, I will give a brief introduction and what is it all about. 😊
SHRPA stands for what?
This five letter acronym means Society of Human Resource Professional and Associates.
What is the nature of SHRPA?
It was established and accredited by the Philippine Embassy Abu Dhabi on July 2016- as an organization which empowers human resource professionals and associates to reach their full potential enabling them to be globally competitive and contributing a positive impact to the community specifically to our fellow Filipino.
What is the purpose of SHRPA?
It is to uplift the growth and well being of its members dedicated to serve the community while integrating the core values of loyalty, integrity, and excellence through sustainable value creation.
Not only that, SHRPA serves as a tool for recruitment through job posting which helps the UAE community specifically the Filipinos. We have created a Facebook page for job posting and we use this as a way of reaching out to fellow Filipinos who are in need of work specially those on a visit visa. What will be the benefit of joining SHRPA?
You will be open to many opportunities especially in HR Industry world. Aside from that you will also be exposed to different opportunities as highlighted below:
1. Learning Journey--it aims to provide learning and development programs that would support the career growth of members and reach their full potential. This program covers learning sessions surrounding the modern HR trends, practices and other key areas in the related field.
2. Career Enhancement--SHRPA also provides support to those members who would like to be a certified HR professional through HR certification review sessions, knowledge sharing and focused group discussion.
3. Community Service--the organization is also supporting different social services and community outreach programs in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy and POLO-OWWA. Just recently we participated the Bayanihan's Family Fun Day 2018 held at Khalidiya Family Park and SHRPA was the event organizer.
4. Socialization--we value close family ties among our members where everyone respects each other's individual differences just like siblings in the family. The organization also conducts regular monthly meetings to get in touch with members to update and follow through on future events and ensure work - life balance is upheld specially that we are all away from our home country.
Who can join?
Those HR Professionals who are holding an HR title and function and those role or function in their company is outside HR or within the HR department which called as Associates.
