Why people forgot communication?
Today I’ll discuss the importance of technology in our life.
It’s obvious that, nowadays, we can’t live without technology. It has been involved in each part of our daily routine. In the morning, we need coffee, so we use a coffee machine. If we have to wash dishes, we “appeal” to a dishwasher… and there are many other examples. Let’s be sincere: Technology makes our life much more comfortable!
Aside from doing housework, It helps us also in private and personal life. And I want to focus on this second aspect: using technology in order to communicate with other people.
This utilization of technology scares me.
We have hundreds of platforms for interpersonal communication. Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat… and other social media allow to communicate non-stop from every part of the planet. Today there are no limits to communication between people. It’s limitless!
Country borders’s simply disappeared.
Meeting sites( such as Meetic, Lovoo, etc…) make possible the interaction between people coming from distant countries of the hole globe. And it’s necessary to admit that without Network many of today relationships wouldn’t exist.
But, a question results spontaneous: are all these social media totally useful? There are such a huge numbers of negative effect coming from them. People forgot how to communicate. It’s much more simple to communicate through a smartphone or a laptop. It’s much more simple to hide behind a screen. People don’t like face to face communication anymore. Maybe we don’t realize this fact, but old people do. There’s a lack of communication in our society.
Let’s do an example… tomorrow morning get on a bus, or a train and look around you: what are people doing? Are they talking one to each other? Do you hear their voice’s noise? Most frequently the answer will be “no, I don’t hear anything”. That’s because of everyone on that bus is clicking on its personal smartphone, maybe during listening to music.
I’m not against technology. That’s not the idea I want to share with you. In my opinion if we don’t know how to use technology, we’ll regret it. Words are more beautiful when you talk face to face to another person. An “I love you” sounds much sweeter when you’re hugging your loved one.
Let’s go back to really communicating!
Good idea, Dani! Let’s not avoid affection through technology!
