RE: Questions on the Art of Commenting (How the Hell Do You Guys Comment So Fast?)
I just refine my feed to include only sources of content I would want to comment on. I think that what steemit is currently missing is a better filtering system for feed viewing. Wouldn't it be cool if I could see ONLY posts from the last 2 hours that have more than 5 organic (non-bot) comments? Cool right?
Another thing I suggested was bringing back the "active" tab to replace the promoted tab. No one uses that, while many users seek out conversations on topics on the platform. I wish steemit made it easier on us.
Hear, hear! Yeah, I made a comment on a recent @steemitblog post supporting the simple implementation of a smaller posts in the feed to allow for better perusal, but it's clear that that is only a start.
The active tab was a particularly good idea. I wonder why they took it down? Well, I suppose it would take some thinking for it to be abuse-proof. Being able to filter by recent-ness and comments would be an amazing leap forward. Add to that special alerts that you could set up for specific authors, and I think the problem is pretty much totally fixed.
Yup. Know anyone on the team there? :)
Lol. Nope. You?
Nope. My current contributions to the community: delegated to utopian.io and helping the team at minnowbooster define clear guidelines for abuse prevention.
