Let's Make a Graphic Novel: Character Style Guide Applied.
Evening Steemit!
Thanks so much for your interest in my previous video in this series.
Today I took the Character Style Guide that I created yesterday, and applied it to the first chapter of my current Graphic Novel Project.
The problem that I am tackling with this video is how to integrate a style guide into a painting in order to make the design resonate more strongly as the Alice in Wonderland Character that I'm attempting to create.
If you're a fandom artist, this is also the same process that you'll be using in your work. The most common example being when you take a person in a reference photo, and then integrate the known characteristics of the fandom that you are replicating in your design.
Something as simple as painting a cute woman from Reddit, and turning her into a Disney Princess -- this process captures the essence of what I'm trying to achieve here.
My hope is that by sharing this process with you here, some of you might be able to follow along with your own project -- and we can both improve as artists.
Hi @rootdraws! I created a Steem Community for artists on the new Steemit beta site here.

If you've got some cool art you'd like to share there would love to have you :)
Thanks. I'll join. I'm new to steemit, so i'll take a look around and try to figure it out.
Sweet, I made a little video tutorial explaining it if that helps.
Thanks. I'll give it a shot.

A Disney princess? My youngest would say: Disney makes a princess out of each girl and they are all the same. Icannot help you with this.
This is an art education video, not a social commentary on Disney princesses.
