THE BRUTALITY OF BERSERK

Many people think that the world is attractive and that everything good has good rewards, since many works show us the opposite and show how horrible and cruel the world can be, as is the case with this work and many others, for this chance. I will talk about "Berserk", a dark and medieval fantasy manga created by Kentaro Miura in 1989. (For those who do not know what a manga is, it is basically a comic, only that it is Japanese and reads differently, apart from that it is in black and white)

What to say about a story in which from the beginning we are shown an imposing protagonist and determined to complete his goal, and that is that Guts has had a hard life from the beginning, he has been forced to fend for himself since his childhood . reflected in the fact that he always carries a weapon much larger and heavier than him, and also loses his loved ones and is constantly persecuted by demons.

It is a story of revenge and they let us know from the first volumes, the outcome of the story is a point in favor of Berserk compared to other manga of this type, which despite not being the most original in terms of its protagonist, it is very well done.

This is a very reflexive point about its protagonist and many people in general, how hard life can be for many and the freedom we need and deserve all. Guts fights for what he wants and for his loved ones, and we see several facets of him. Although it seems someone strong and to some extent evil, it is actually quite human.

This is a pretty obvious point. The most notable at first sight of Berserk is the excellent drawing he has, the whole fight and each page is loaded with many details, and because of the number of chapters he has until today, it is hard to believe that he has so many details in each chapter.

From the beginning we realize this, but still every page you pass is too surprising.

Berserk is one of the manga that I like most for many reasons, a pity that his adaptation to anime does not do justice to the manga. Still it is better to read the manga.
