November 2019 Previews Catalog Comic Investment Pick

Each month during the #campuscomicscast, we attempt to pick some #comics that we feel might be worth buying an extra copy of two to put back, just in case. Unfortunately, the November Previews felt a little light on books worth mentioning for investment purposes. We normally pick three, but this month we only had one pick. On page 44 of the big catalog you will find The clock from Image Comics.

This book is written by Matt Hawkins with art by Colleen Doran. Matt Hawkins has quite a few books to his credit with Image, including Postal. I personally have not read much work by Hawkins.

Colleen Doran has been in the comics industry for many years, with work for independent publishers as well as the big two companies, Marvel and DC. She is a tremendously talented artist with numerous awards and accolades. Her work includes her creator owned title A Distant Soil, to work on Amazing Spider-Man and The Sandman.

The Clock is a medical mystery title with a multi-page preview in the catalog. The art is excellent . With so many comic titles being optioned for movie and television, this book has an excellent chance of being picked up. When titles get optioned, they tend to have at least a temporary spike in value. If the optioned show makes it to market and is a success, that spike in value could stay.

So, if you are buying #comics as an investment this is my pick for the November 2019 Previews catalog.

That being said, remember the best advice on buying #comics is to buy what you like.
