📷 Kalanchoe blossfeldiana a.k.a Flaming Katy🌺-The Tiny Little Gorgeous RED💮Flowers in a Cluster🌷🌸 Stunningly Beautiful!😊Enjoy Watching👍!

in #colorchallenge6 years ago (edited)

It was today morning, while on a walk, I just happen to casually notice some tiny...very tiny...looking Red flowers...and I just passed by them. Even though I walked on and on, those "Tiny Red Flowers" perhaps got stuck somewhere in my immediate memory of its sheer beauty and such a small size...they must be around 1cm x 1cm in size, yeah! really!, and looking absolutely beautiful in the cluster. I came back and took some really wonderful shots and a mission to study more about them.

Pronounced as..."kal-un-KOH-ee"...these flowers are called as Kalanchoe blossfeldiana (the scientific name) and also called as "Flaming Katy ", " Christmas kalanchoe", " Florist kalanchoe" & "Madagascar widow's-thrill"...the last one is kind of surprisingly strange!!! :)

“Florist Kalanchoes”, a popular houseplant, boasts truly vibrant long lasting gorgeous flowers & very interesting foliage, they look great in the garden or even as houseplants. Indoors or outdoors they are not hard to maintain in bloom.

2.jpg

Amazingly bright clusters of tiny-tiny red, pink, lilac, yellow, white, purple or orange flowers of Kalanchoe blossfeldiana flowers are one of the few succulents that are grown, for its astonishing blooms and wonderfully lasts for several weeks. Flaming Katy, truly spreading beauty and brightness, all around.

The captures, I have taken, definitely project them to be like big flowers or atleast pretty bigger than their actual size. I am so attracted to their amazing personality.

4.jpg

The Christmas kalanchoe flowers, ideally consist of “four petals” that form a “tubular shape flower” (...and upto 50 flowers in a cluster, within a flower head), however there are some hybrids that have more than one row of petals. These multi petal kalanchoe flowers too, look dazzling.

Interestingly, “Kalanchoe blossfeldiana” is a herbaceous plant of the genus Kalanchoe native to Madagascar.

Hope you liked the captures and some interesting information about "Kalanchoes".

Thanks for reading & watching!

Wishing you all Good luck, with Lots of Love!!! Cheers!
