Collecting History's Treasures
From a young age I have always been a fan of money. When I say money I mean old money, money that has past through the good times and the bad times. Showing wear and tear from its long journey through the life of money. My grandfather was my inspiration. He collected everything from coins to paper money.
The Government Of Texas: Treasury Department, 20 Dollar Bill
Year Print:1838
No 569
This 20 dollar bill is one of the few collections my grandfather has passed down to me to carry through my life and the life of my family. As you can see this bill has seen its fair share of hands but since coming into my grandfather’s hands this bill home had become the very frame it lies in. Today, it sits with the many horses I have earned and collected over my 28 years of my being.
Turkiye Gumhuriyet Merkez Bankasi: 5 Bes Turk Lirasi
Year Print: Unknown
This bill is another one of the bills my grandfather handed down to me. I myself have not done much looking into this one. So I don’t know much about it but this bills is one that has seen many hands much like our 20 bill above. I have a frame set aside for this little guy, unfortunately it is sitting in a box under the house and I haven’t dug it out yet. Really need to so I can keep this bill from any further damage.
Canada: Bank Of Canada: 2 Dollar Bill
Year Print: 1986
I enjoy having this 2 dollar bill in my collection because a few years back if I recall correctly Canada switched all of their paper bills to plastic. So this bill and the other I will be showing you be low are bills that are no longer being printed by the Canadian banks. This bill has also seen its fair share of hand through its journey, but its journey seems to just have begun being made in the late 80’s. I hope to keep this little guy inside my family for years to come, so years from now when paper and plastic is out this will be that of history.

Here is the other bill I was talking about above. These bills are also two of the bills handed down to me by my grandfather. He has definitely added to my collection and I hope over the years I am able to add more. Their journeys fascinate me!
This is cool! I have collected coins in the past but have a little bit of old paper money. Really nice to see what you have. Thanks for showing us!
