Sadly, date-setting puts people prone to stressing out, on edge.

Oftentimes, these dates go by without incident; thus, the word lends to sensationalism, which makes people think of the boy who cried wolf, and paying no critical attention.

I guess it’s just as well, considering there’s little anyone can do should the lights go out, the grid goes down.
