I feel bad for my screw up now

in #coinomi5 years ago

So recently my personal phone had an update which caused my phone to require a complete factory reset (stupid Xperia). Well before I continue I would like to say I think I am a pretty responsible Crypto Owner and I maintain back ups and seeds for my things. Well when my phone crashed it had about $450 in crypto on it, which is not a large amount but it's enough to hurt if I lost it. Well those funds were kept in a @coinomi wallet on my now crashed phone. Do you see where this going? Well at first I thought no big deal just pull up my seed and I will recover my funds, no problem. Well I grab what I thought was my seed phrase and plugged it in for the recovery. I saw nothing at all.

My first thought was okay I did something wrong here, so I tried again and nothing. At the time I was thinking I don't have time for this shit I have to work and my personal phone is gone. Well later I kept trying with no luck. So I start searching my files to see if I have an extra seed some where. Well I couldn't find one so my next logical step was that Coinomi just lost my funds, or as I said in my Google review "stole". I know and knew that they really couldn't steal my funds, I was just a little pissed off.

After, my nasty review was left, I saw that they had a support email so I reached out. It didn't help that the guy or girl that was replying with things I had already tried. So I had finally gave up and excepted it was lost.

Well as I was getting back on to my Steemit account after a long stint of being off line, I went to get my key. Well it turns out the file that I thought was my key was actually my Coinomi seed for my wallet.

Now I feel like a jackass and I need to go fix my review on Google. I feel bad for saying they stole my funds on a public forum.

Moral Of The Story
