Coffee, a daily investment.
I grew up hating coffee.
When I was younger, there existed an aisle in the supermarket where my family would go grocery shopping; An aisle dedicated to coffee. The aroma would give me headaches, and so I avoided coffee for most of my early adult life.
I joined the Army right out of high school. In fact, I was in boot camp when I was 17. In boot camp, we weren't allowed to have coffee... Although I remember some of my friends bartering for the MRE instant coffee. Even offering boot shining, and BDU ironing in exchange.
I actually didn't become addicted to coffee until I was 28. This was when I started intermittent fasting full-time, and needed the caffeine to curb my appetite.
Unlike many people, I consider myself a morning person. I usually go to sleep around 9-10pm, and wake up around 6-7am. Before I even brush my teeth, I get my beans ground and water boiled.
Coffee nowadays, I would consider to be an investment. And I love investing in myself. My mornings when colliding with a heavy dose of caffeine, are always super productive. Since I now spend my mornings reading crypto charts, and curating/blogging/reading here on Steemit... A pot of coffee is essential to building my wealth.
Now, I am sitting in a coffee shop here in Pattaya, Thailand; Writing this blog to share some simple but often passed over bit of advice:
Reinvest. In. Yourself. Always.
And if you would, please cast a vote for me as a witness? As most of my followers see, I have been actively voting those who help me. I stand committed to helping the community, and will never be powering down any funds from my witness account. 100% reinvestment!

Coffee supercharges your mornings. I love it.
wow....always reinvest
Great mindset man....and not only reinvest in money but re invest in things that are of benefit to yourself...i really wish i could write a post about this topic, but that is if you approve...i really hope you do....you have my support concerning the witness issue but is it possible to vote for 2 witness at the same time,I already vote for steemgigs and i have set surpassinggoogle as my proxy
Thanks man. And no worries about proxy vote... The fact that you thought of me, is enough. I appreciate that.
Times can be tough, I hope people don't cash out of Steemit too early. Reinvesting is the only way forward, towards a better life for us and our kids.

Cool
Great post!
I love Coffee!
Wonderful post! I too hated coffee as a child, specifically the breath of its drinkers! Sometime around the age of 22 I was working 3 jobs and needed a boost to make it through my day, enter coffee. Nowadays I have a specific morning ritual, and coffee is the centerpiece! My morning coffee always brings me joy, as I hope yours does as well!
Haha about coffee breath. Especially my father, who would smoke and drink coffee.
I guess I will never forget and even miss that smell, when he is no longer around.
Do you ever fast from coffee, to get that virgin feeling back? I do it once every few months; Forgo my coffee for a week, and deal with the headaches so I can get high again.
How do you make your coffee? I love my aeropress.
Rob
I used to have a french press back when I lived without electricity, and I would hand smash my beans! I don't know if it was the effort or the medium that made it so fantastic, but man that was the best coffee! Life has changed since then, and now I use a regular ole electric coffee pot- it does do an awesome job at keeping up with me though!
I stopped drinking coffee ONCE and I lasted four days after friends insisted "You won't regret it!" they were so wrong... I experienced splitting headaches of jaw breaking strength, and spotty vision because of them. Probably were migraines, I called it hell lol! My hot bean water has got my number I suppose :)
I admire the resolve you have to commit to a coffee fast. It does sound like a wonderful way to fall in love with coffee all over again!
I've never thought of coffee like this as an "investment" in yourself, but I really like the perspective. It certainly helps with productivity and productivity is key!
Cheers!
Maybe it's just me justifying the expense, to myself ;)
Thanks for stopping by, and the legit comment.

Haha! I guess you've gotta justify it somehow!
No problem, I'm new to Steem and I'm happy to have found your page. I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts!
Coffee is one of my investments!
I don't even need to justify it, my friends know lol 😂 I cannot start my day without it!
Great post, I I just wish you didn't took my coffee for your photo! Haha 😘
its a booster whenever you feel you are in a drag, i have much invested on it from home to the office and know the best coffee joints in town
I have never liked coffee. I also try to stay away from caffeine and processed sugars. I really have more energy without them.
Yeah, I fast though...don't eat from 8pm until past noon the following day. So the caffeine curbs my appetite.
100% agree with the processed sugars. Have to maintain a pH level to prevent sickness, and yeast messes that up.
Well i always hated it too, maybe yoi are giving me a reason to like it as well
It's either caffeine, or meth for the morning boost...haha.
As many different ways to make coffee, as there are to make a pizza.
Well honestly pizza would do anyway it is made hahah, but since you were in the military, i guess coffee was good for you, anyway i would maybe try it, the way you have started to love it, i may get addicted too hahah
good write, i am following you already
upvoted bro..nice post..love it
actually i wouldn't call that an addiction cause from your explanation above it makes the day more productive and I would say anything that gives one such a boost is really a good investment to go into
Right on :)
I just can't drink it after 11am, else I may have trouble sleeping that night.
Wish the boost lasted longer, caffeine high feels great.
