Why drink stale coffee? (Part 4 Brewing)
When it comes to brewing your ground coffee, there are a lot of choices:
1) Percolator –
old school method pretty much replaced by the drip coffee maker but you can still see them in westerns and campfires
2) Drip -
Automatic coffee maker – the de facto standard found in home and offices everywhere. Often accompanied with a large tin of pre-ground coffee
3) Vacuum Pot –
cool looking stacked glass compartments where the coffee defies gravity with the help of vapor pressure and moves to the upper chamber
4) Pour over –
put grounds in a filter then pour hot water over it
5) Aeropress –
similar to French press but manual pressure is used to force water through a fine filter
6) French Press –
soak your coffee in hot water then press away the grounds with a wire filter
7) Brikka –
stovetop espresso – heated water creates pressure and releases the weighted valve to force hot water through coffee grounds
8) Espresso machine –
pressurized water near boiling is forced through a puck of coffee grounds by a pump, resulting in a thick concentration of coffee

Beautiful. Maybe I will leave work early and go make myself a beautiful Aeropress cup. Sounds like the thing to do...
I clicked on your post specifically to see if you'd mentioned Aeropress, and was delighted to see that you had. :)
Delicious, I'm loving it!
My fav is the expresso machine for its pure intensity but am happy with a percolator coffee to start off the morning. #CoffeeisforClosers
My (worthless) upvote is for the Glengarry reference.
No matter, we are all new to the platform and over time we will hopefully grow together. Love GlenGarry!!

Dang I love coffee.... Now I gotta go to the coffee shop and get MOAR!
Fresh grind in a french press is the way to coffee
Interesting post for coffee lovers like me! Would like to know who you recommended each of these to say businesses, consumers, etc for example. As some of us do not know the difference and to decide which to go with. Thank you for the post @justinlaak
I love french pressed coffee, and want to buy an espresso machine.
Get an Aeropress! It's a French press without the inevitable over-steeping and sludge! It brews espresso-strength coffee, but only costs $25 on Amazon!
Thanks! I looked it up. Got an Amazon gift card as a wedding gift and now I know what to buy first. ;)
One of the next entries in the series will go into more depth about what's involved in using an espresso machine
I've recently been mastering the art of pour over. It's pretty tricky but I'm proud of the progress I've made. I think I'm going to do a how to post soon!
por over ftw, not rly a fan of all the machines
One of my favorite coffee shops is Harbinger in Fort Collins, CO, and they focus on the pour over.
nice post, i also made some coffee posts you can check my guide - https://steemit.com/coffee/@kingscrown/unique-guide-how-to-make-top-notch-iced-coffee
