Another day another mainstream media attack on Bitcoin.

in #cnbc7 years ago (edited)

A new article by CNBC has come out to smear the cryptos once again stating, "Ethereum is crashing by 20% right now after confidence in bitcoin rival shaken". They even go as far as giving their explanations for said drops in the currency claiming ,"Ethereum plunged more than 20 percent in Monday trading. Ripple effects from a flash crash on one exchange last week was a driving force behind the drop. Unsubstantiated rumors about the digital currency's founder contributed to the uncertainty." The reality of the situation is that no one knows if the steep drop in price is due to natural market corrections or out-right manipulation as I have previously stated.

The article goes on to engage in scare tactics by indicating a hardfork maybe what is coming and that is what might be signaling the crash and if you didn't think that was bad enough, get a load of this crap....

"How practical is it to live on bitcoin in 2017? We tried it for a week"

... Yeah... pathetic... first thing is first; No one I know if in any rush to get rid of any bitcoin at current prices or any price anytime soon unless it is to reinvest into safe haven assets. Second, They fail to mention that bitcoin is not currently ment to be a method for transactions but rather a digital preserver of wealth. Third, if everyone she knew on the street knew about bitcoin and was accepting it then it would be in a bubble (which clearly is not) in which case I would start dumping my position. Now I'm no expert on this but I'm pretty sure dash has the cheap and fast payment systems covered.. Also they failed to mention that you could buy a bitcoin debit card if you are ignorant enough to spend 2 dollars on a coffee only to find out a month later that same coffee is now 4 or 5$. Also they failed to mention things like Monaco Visa Card or the new and ambitious Humaniq projects that are set to make the banking systems obsolete... I wonder if that poor girl knows she is working for the elite when she is participating in hit pieces like this... Oh well.. maybe she can continue listening to Katie Perry and watching the Kardashians...

I wonder if anyone even watches CNBC or any of the dinosaur media anymore. It's a good thing their viewership is mostly in senior homes and hospice centers. Do they even own smart phones? Oh well... Stay tuned kids.
