股权投资鼻祖Naval Ravikant 的智慧

Naval Ravikant 是投资人中的一朵奇葩。不过，比较可爱的投资人都挺奇葩的，比如彼得蒂尔。

他被称为股权投资界的鼻祖。投资的经典项目有： Twitter, Uber, Yammer, Stack Overflow and Wanelo 等等。

他开了个公司，Angelist.com。既可以从上面找工作，又可以做投资，还能发起自己的项目众筹资金。

这篇文章的内容主要来自他的推特，以及我个人的硬思考。

1.有个人问Naval，你为啥说99%的努力都是白费呢？

Naval 的回答：

Think back to term papers, exes, failed businesses, forgotten friends. Learning experiences, but big payoffs came from a few good choices.

这事儿说得和李笑来老师讲的异曲同工：

到最后大家拼的就是谁干的事儿更大。不是谁更聪明、更努力。最开始的那个选择就决定了。

2.第二天，Naval 在推特上又补充了一句：

Think back to what you were doing 5, 10, 15+ years ago. Really visualize it. What advice would you give your younger self? Is it consistent?

嗯，我回顾了一下，大概只会做这么一件事儿：

每年至少写一本书。

4.有人问Naval ，你到底花了多长时间在推特上？为啥你对生活中的一切都那么充满目的性呢？

I’m not intentional. I act out of interest and understanding, not self discipline.

Socially acceptable reason why I use Twitter: to refine my ideas and connect with others based on quality of theirs. Real reason: I like it.

The best teachers are on the Internet. The best books are on the Internet. The best peers are on the Internet.

9.在区块链的世界，你得学会对自己负责。

Get comfortable with complex passwords, password managers, 2FA, & private keys. If you value convenience over safety, you will have neither.

在这个世界里，你必须学会使用两个软件。第一，1passwaord；第二，2FA。

这两个是保护账号安全的神器。

10.有人问Naval，你觉得智慧是什么？

Understanding the long term consequences of your actions.

理解你的行为带来的长期影响。

即，当你做决定的时候，需要把“长期”这个概念考虑其中。

我在【弄清这些问题，写书超容易上手】（来自小密圈 ID：312557）中写过这么一段：

绝大多数人面对一个新的知识新的技能的时候，都会产生这样的问题：学这个有用吗？

换句话说，当他们考虑要不要学习新东西的时候，他们只从一个维度上考虑：有用还是没用。

嗯，回想一下，其实呢，我们从小到大，都是这么潜移默化地被错误的教育成这种思考方式的。

然而，当我们的认知能力达到另外一个层次之后，我们应该了解这个事实——

知识除了有用没用之外，还有另外一个维度：长期。

于是，我们在决定要不要学的时候，我们可以这么问自己：长期来看，学这个新东西有用吗？

你看，有的人的思考只有一个维度，他们觉得这个新东西没用，于是干脆就不学了；然而，另外一些人，他们有两个思考维度，长期和有用。

认知差异不同，思考就不同，做出的行动就不一样，于是，哪怕一开始他们身处的世界相同，可随着时间力量的显现，他们的世界差异就越来越大。
