Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

in #cn7 years ago

The 6th August, should not be the day to be celebrated, but the day to be memorized. 6th August in 1945, American troops dropped the atomic bomb in Hiroshima, which was the first a-bomb used in military in the history of mankind. Japan surrendered as a result and the world was glad for the end of the war. I remembered that my grandpa described how happy they were at that time.

Early in the spring season, I have traveled to Hiroshima and was hoping to learn more about the history.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is the place where the A-bomb dome located. In 1945, the bomb exploded above the ground and destroyed almost everything in seconds. The park was built to memorize the incident and to show the hope for the peace in the future.

The A-bomb dome was greatly damaged during the explosion.

I could feel how peaceful the park was. Children had make some decoration here to show the blessing to the world.

The long lasting fire to memorize the dead and the past.

The museum told us the history and told us not to repeat the history.

The a-bomb dome was reserved properly because of the effort and support by the citizens. They would like to preserve the heritage to remind all generations about the terrible history.

Today Hiroshima is no longer under the shadow of the past. People here are energetic and live happily everyday.History may stay in their memory but not hinder them to step forward.
