When my foreign friends ask me about the consumption of dog meat; I tend to point out that it is nowhere near as popular as it used to be, is mostly only really enjoyed by older people (especially in winter) and is not consumed by the average consumer as nowadays it tends to be a far more expensive than the usually consumed meats as far as I'm aware.

Also, a lot of older people seem to be getting little dogs to keep them company, so I feel that it is safe to assume that the consumption of dog meat is rapidly going out of fashion. Due to media coverage, many foreigners falsely get the impression that Yulin represents the whole Chinese nation, when in reality it is just a few ethnic minority people stuck in their old backward ways; to the disgust of many other people across China.

WELL SAID!!! 👏🏼

They eat dogs in Vietnam and other parts of SEA as well. If you eat a pig or a cat you might eat a dog as well. Why not? It is just the way they kill the dogs. You have to look at their head that is usually at display where they sell the meat. You can see - it was a horrible death!
I am super happy that I do not eat animals. And in my opinion you can not really compare animals and plants. But that is up to you.

☺️right haha
