What Ever Happened to Acid Rain?

in #climate8 years ago

With President Trump pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord, the non-binding feel good agreement, all I keep thinking of is "Whatever happened to acid rain?" Remember acid rain? The global epidemic of the early 90's we read about in our grade school Weekly Readers. America polluted so much back then that the rain created in our dirty atmosphere would move into Canada and literally melt away stone sculptures! They even showed pictures of said sculptures in the Weekly Reader with their faces half eaten off. Scary stuff! I believed this acid rain stuff to be a real problem to the point of avoiding being out in the rain because seriously who wants to burn in the rain? I don't disagree the climate is changing. It always has and always will. But acid rain has made me skeptical of the man made climate change theory. #whereistheacidrain

Other than possibly wishful thinking, what makes you thing that acid rain is no longer an issue?

I havent heard a word about it in 25 years for one. Second the weekly readers would show stone statues that were eaten away by acid rain. By now those statues along with many other objects should be long gone.

(I have not heard of it.) ≠ (It does not exist.)

I get that. The point of the post is showing that Acid Rain was literally the apocalypse story of climate change in the early 90's. They faux story didn't stick so it has been long forgotten about. It was global cooling in the 70's global warming in the 2000's. Anything to push an agenda. BTW I checked out your post and you still believe there was Russian collusion yet there is zero evidence. Maybe you should worry about your own wacky thought process before checking up on my shot at humor.

We have moved on from "acid rain" to the much more active and visible sport of "Chemtrail Spraying" a much more visible climate modification program.

Whatever keeps the money pouring into the climate change groups.
