What happened to all the hurricanes Al Gore promised?

It has now been about ten years with no category 3 hurricane or above hitting the USA which happens about every 270 years.
As the table in the website below shows, worldwide hurricanes or typhoons as they are called in the rest of the world are at historic lows.
The website link below is a global warming promotion site by the way, so no tricks.
World temperature is about 1/3 of a deg C above average right now after a big spike upwards with the El Nino which has now turned to the opposite cooling La Nina .
There has been a sharp drop in world temperature as a result .
The Pacific ocean may be resuming it's cool 30 year cycle that lowered temps below normal in 2012.
It is hard to find factual climate info in the media which tends to be more politically oriented so hopefully this is of interest to some who wish to know some positive facts about our planet. There is plenty of good news for those that will listen. Perhaps that does not sell in the media. We need science not politics. If there is any interest in facts I will post more or just move on.
