For only one day in 2007, the cinema has split up with two of its greatest artists. On the morning of 30 July, Ingmar Bergman is on holiday, and the Italian director and screenwriter Michelangelo Antonioni is also late at night at the age of 94. Recognized as one of the most talented filmmakers in modern history, he was called "father of alienation and pessimism in the movies." His career in cinema lasted for 60 years, and in 1995 he was honored with an Oscar for complete creativity. Partially paralyzed by the stroke in 1985, the director could not speak, but climbed onto the stage to accept his reward. His wife, Enrico Fico, 41 years younger than him, then said: "Michelangelo has always strived to go beyond words, to meet the silence - the secret and the power of silence." "With Antonioni's death, we lost not only one of the greatest directors but also the master of modern cinema," said Mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni. Antonioni's films, a total of 25, seldom touched the taste of the mass audience, which he found to be too strange and pretentious. But with "Adventure," "Enhancement," "Beyond the Clouds," and "Zabriz Point", he has become a poem of many filmmakers. Most Annotony films are studying cinematography around the world as an innovation in the cinema language. "Red Desert", "Zoom", "Zabriz Point" and "Occupation Reporter" are a model for working with color, misincizence and camera movements that were not made in the cinema at the time.

Martin Scorsese called Antonyion a "chambermaid", and before awarding him the Oscar for Full Creativity, Jack Nicholson said: "In the empty and quiet spaces of the world, he found metaphors that illuminate the dark corners of our souls, and found strange and terrible beauty - dark, elegant, enigmatic, intrusive. " Michelangelo Antonioni was born on September 29, 1912, in Ferrara, northeastern Italy. He graduated from business and economics at the University of Bologna and then worked for a while in a bank. Subsequently, he wrote film criticism for a local newspaper and in 1939 moved to Rome and began working as a secretary for the film magazine of the fascists, whose editor was the son of Benito Mussolini. Antoni's first professional encounter with cinema was in 1942, when he starred in writing the script for Roberto Rossellini's film "The Return of the Pilot." In the following years, he made short films and continues to write scripts. His first feature film, "The Chronicle of a Love," Antonioni shot in 1950, but his success worldwide came 10 years later with Adventure. The film is devoted to the alienation, the inability of people in modern society to communicate with each other, their emotional mutilation. The main female role is performed by Monika Vity, who, after the release of the film, became an international star. In the next decade, she shared the director's life and starred in three of his films, The Night (1961), The Eclipse (1962), and The Red Desert (1964)

In the period 1964-1979 Antonioni worked outside Italy. In 1966, in the UK, he shot the "Photo Enhancement," and after a four-year break he made the Zabriz Point in California. The movie is ring-lined by the Pink Floyd Group and becomes a flag of anti-conformist youth intellectual movements around the world. In 1974, the director shot "Profession: Reporter," in which the lead role was performed by Jack Nicholson. The film is a psycho-criminal and tells of a reporter who is trying to change his identity by taking the name of a dead man. At the end of the filming Antonyion retired from cinema for five years. In an interview with an Italian magazine in 1980 on the question of who he is doing his films, he responds like this: "I make them the perfect viewer - myself. I would never do something that does not fit my taste just to show it to the audience. Honestly, I'm not capable of that, although so many other directors do. And one more thing - what kind of audience are we talking about? The Italian? The American? Japanese? French? The British? Australian? They are so different from each other. " In 1981 Antonyion shot the film "The Oberwald's Mystery" and the following year - "The Identification of a Woman". The 1985 incident, which he suffered from the cinema for almost 10 years. In 1994 Antonioni, partially paralyzed and communicating with his notebook, began to shoot Beyond the Clouds. Worried about whether the director would be able to finish the film, the producers are drawing his German counterpart, Wim Wenders, and they both work in a team. "Beyond the Clouds" is made on the collection of Antonioni's stories and features a bunch of international stars - John Malkovich, Jeremy Irons, Fanny Ardan, Irene Jacob, Sophie Marso, Jean-Reno and even Marcello Mastroyani. Antonioni's latest film was the 2004 French-Italian co-production "Eros", which he co-starred with directors Steven Soderbergh and Wan Carvay.
