La Flor Dominicana La Nox
- This copy of La Flor Dominicana is made with a tripe with a Dominican leaf, held with a cloak of Mexican tobacco San Andrés and presented, finally, with a dark and shiny coat from Brazil. His vitola is Toro Extra: 6 1/2 inches and 50 trap.
You immediately perceive that flavor that refers to fermentation and something dark but you can not relate to a known one. This is how La Nox starts, the night. The "effect" on the palate is marked. Bitter sensations, strong, but at the same time contained within a pleasant plane.
And then there it is: the strength increases progressively and in parallel there are sweet tones that contrast with the bitterness that persists after expelling the smoke and it is at that moment when you get the idea that there is chocolate in this smoke. Or cocoa, in any case.
Later the smoke is becoming balanced, always within its good degree of strength. Tobacco is perceived as "round" in flavors - cocoa, wood, coffee - although with spicy edges that animate the palate. And suddenly The Nox shows its creamy nature.
The proposal of the league is maintained in the second third, the impressions are similar and it is consolidated as a smoked with strength in which intense tones are combined with other more delicate. And that ambivalence is interesting: it manages to be both.
As the third third approaches, it seems-at times-to soften its strength. Here already the flavor tone is completely friendly, more delicate though not less intense: it is not lost. There is the coffee, there is the sweet, there is the bitter. And there they will be until the end of this good night.
Full Bodied.
Fortaleza Fuerte.
