Easy DIY Christmas Cards - Handprint & Footprint

in #christmas7 years ago

One of the things I cherish the most about my children is memories. Memories of every little thing, every little detail, every little moment in their lives... I take a lot of pictures and videos to make sure I am not missing an important step in their lives and we watch these together as a family. Family members also love memories! They love having pictures of the children in their family or also souvenirs they can hold to and look at when they think about these lovely little creatures :)

Since Christmas is getting more and more expensive each year and family members cherish your children's souvenirs, why not create a Christmas card that is cheap, crafty, unique, customized and unforgettable?

This year, I just can't wait to give the DIY cards I made! I am sure my family will be thrilled by these :D

and of course... your child's hand or foot (warning : please do not take off from his body :P).

1- First, you need to prepare the floor with newspaper or many pieces of paper you will throw away once the project is done.

2- Second, you put paint (I used simple acrylic paint) in a flat container.

3- Third, you put your child's foot or hand in the paint and gently shake the excess off. Gently is important... otherwise it can get pretty messy, which can quickly become synonymous with funny for your kid :P

4- You then apply the hand or foot very slowly on a piece of cardboard and be careful not to move at all during the process.

5- Finally, you just have to style your beautiful creation according to the design you prefer.

Note : I also added the name of my child and the date at which I made the card to make this memory even more vivid.

Let's go my friends and let your talents shine!

I can guarantee you this creation project will be a souvenir in itself ♥
