Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow (15 Pics)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Like many I am always dreaming of a White Christmas.
This morning here in Utah there was snow on the ground when I awoke!!!
It's still a bit warm so it's not sticking very well but ... still I'll take it for a successful white christmas. My sister @sjarvie5 also go snow over in Oregon.

Instead of putting on a coat and shoes walking outside in the cold to get a picture in the dim still snowing weather in a back yard... so i did something different.

THE MAKING OF A SNOW COLLECTION

I decided to go through 15 years of pictures finding snow pictures
... Then I found ones that weren't just distant snow on the mountains.
... Then I found my favorite really snowy shots.
... Then I culled the collection down to 20 for my website

... And finally here are the images I want to share for you.

This picture of Truckee California feels the most like Christmas to me.
How about for you?

SNOW is connected to mountains for so many of us... i'm no exception... props if you can say where each of these locations is... or country/state.

If you're on https://steempeak.com you can click it to view these images large... very important for a panorama.

One of my favorite places is lake blanche and the second image of this post is of the same location... i share that one so much that I've never even edited this shot and shared it. But here we go.

Finally I'd like to dedicate this to my sister @sjarvie5 and other siblings in Oregon that are enjoying the snow without me this Christmas morn. This is the road I would take to Klamath Falls Oregon. It's a 12+ hr drive and sometimes if i'm towing and tired it's more of a 24hr+ trip for me. But it's such an interesting drive because it goes through some of the most desolate land in America.

This scene makes me think of home and family and my Mom this being our first christmas without both of them.

This road is where if you get lucky you may see the wild horses running by in the snow... a very distinct scene to the very calming scene of watching the Amish pick up their children from school on a cold winter afternoon.

very beauty

Terrific shots! You are so lucky to have snow on Christmas! 🤗❄❄❄☃️

It has been raining all day today here in Ukraine. But while we celebrate Christmas on Jan 7th, I hope it will be some snow on NY and later.

As for me, the most "Christmas" photo is the one with cute houses in a forest. You wish you to take more awesome photos tomorrow when it stops snowing.
Merry Christmas!

Oh that's so interesting I didn't know about the Jan 7th thing. Technically the celebration of Christ's birth should be in April... BUT... still fun to celebrate it in connection with snow. Because... well it's just fun.

Our country switched to the Gregorian calendar in the early 20th century, but the Orthodox Church continues to use the Julian calendar.

And I agree, it's fun to celebrate with snow and new year tree... and some !BEER :D

Hey @jarvie, here is a little bit of BEER from @zirochka for you. Enjoy it!

wow man! Those photos are epic!
