The text in Timothy is admonishing people to come to the place where they are approved unto God, and can rightly divide the word of truth. Jesus came to such a place when the Holy Spirit came upon him. After that, there is no record of him studying the Scriptures anymore. The point being, there is a time to study, and a time when the studying is finished so that the real work can be done.
