30 AND MOSES SAID TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 AND HE HAS FILLED HIM WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD, IN WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, IN KNOWLEDGE AND ALL MANNER OF WORKMANSHIP,
32 TO DESIGN ARTISTIC WORKS, TO WORK IN GOLD AND SILVER AND BRONZE,
33 IN CUTTING JEWELS FOR SETTING, IN CARVING WOOD, AND TO WORK IN ALL MANNER OF ARTISTIC WORKMANSHIP.
34 “AND HE HAS PUT IN HIS HEART THE ABILITY TO TEACH, in him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.
35 HE HAS FILLED THEM WITH SKILL TO DO ALL MANNER OF WORK OF THE ENGRAVER and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works."
Exodus 35:30-35 (NKJV)

We study the Bible that we might see the dimension with which God works. A dimension of supernatural is needed in whatever you are doing. When you are supernaturally empowered for whatever you are doing or assigned to do, you become unique and excel in It. If this point was shared with some people who are inclined to the natural side of life, they tend not to believe It, thinking or saying that one is trying to spiritualize what is plainly natural.

The truth is, a dimension of the supernatural is needed to get outstanding or mind boggling results in whatever you are doing. This dimension of supernatural can be asked or requested for, It surely would be given to whoever asks for It by faith—God is generous in giving out His wisdom to those who seek and ask for It: "IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, LET HIM ASK OF GOD, WHO GIVES TO ALL LIBERALLY [generously] AND WITHOUT REPROACH, AND IT BE GIVEN TO HIM" (James 1:5 NKJV).
READ: James 1:5-8

We could see in our text, in the preparation for the tabernacle to be constructed in the wilderness, a number of people were specifically chosen and anointed for the artistic work of the construction (Exodus 35:30-33). This shows us that you can be supernaturally empowered for wisdom to do certain things, especially that which God has commanded.

The like of Bezalel and Aholiab were filled with wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship (Exodus 35:30-33).

A number of things can be learnt in the passage:
I. If you as a ministry leader is given a project to be executed, you would do well to ask in prayer that God would give you the like of Bezalel and Aholiab who would use their professional or vocational skills in the execution of the project that It might not be a distraction to you.
It is not the work of a pastor or minister to be carrying cement or running around to buy planks and sand, let that be delegated to the professionals among the congregants—those under your leadership—that you may have enough time to pray, study the Bible, and minister spiritually to the needs of the people.

God knew If Moses would have to add the construction work to his ministerial assignment, that may be a distraction and he might not be effective enough in the ministry work—He had to appoint and empowered those who the work would be delegated to. A minister should be able to concentrate on the ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts 6:2-4). You should get those who would be put over the affairs of the project that you might have enough time to do your own assignment, the ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts 6:4).

II. As a believer, you also should endeavour to pray and ask God to fill you with supernatural wisdom, knowledge and understanding; being skillful in whatever you are assigned to do. Even in your secular work ask God to supernaturally empowered you with wisdom to excel in your field above your contemporaries, your peers—that you would be unique in your field and be ten times better than others (Daniel 1:20).

III. Ability to teach what you know to others could be asked for as well. It is one thing to know how to do something well but another ballgame to teach what you know to others. There are some people who know how to do certain things well but they lack the ability to teach others. Skill or ability to teach what you know how to do to other people is given by God; If you did ask for It, you would not be denied:
34 “AND HE [God] HAS PUT IN HIS [Bezalel's] HEART THE ABILIYY TO TEACH, IN HIM AND AHOLIAB THE SON OF AHISAMACH, OF THE TRIBE OF DAN. 35 HE HAS FILLED THEM WITH SKILL TO DO ALL MANNER OF WORK OF THE ENGRAVER AND THE DESIGNER AND THE TAPESTRY MAKER, IN BLUE, PURPLE, AND SCARLET THREAD, AND FINE LINEN, AND OF THE WEAVER—THOSE WHO DO EVERY WORK AND THOSE WHO DESIGN ARTISTIC WORKS" (Exodus 35:34,35 NKJV).

The ability to teach and the skill to do all manner of work is given by God. If you did ask, as He gave them to Bezalel and Aholiab, He surely would give it to you.

This shows us that ability or skill to do something or whatever you are assigned well could be learnt but they are primarily given by God. The ability and skill being talked about here is beyond the one learnt in a training school, this is supernaturally given. God gives the ability through the Holy Spirit as He wills (1 Corinthians 12:11).

"IN HIS GRACE, GOD HAS GIVEN US DIFFERENT GIFTS FOR DOING CERTAIN THINGS WELL. SO IF GOD HAS GIVEN YOU THE ABILITY TO PROPHESY . . . (Romans 12:6 (NLT).

Thus, the ability or wisdom to do well whatever you are assigned to do is given by God. Either in the secular or ministry work, as a believer in Christ Jesus, you can be empowered or anointed or skilled supernaturally for whatever you are assigned to do by God. This could be gotten by asking for It in prayer: "IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, LET HIM ASK OF GOD, WHO GIVES TO ALL LIBERALLY AND WITHOUT REPROACH, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO HIM" (James 1:5 NKJV).

What is summarily being taught here is, in whatever field of endeavour you are, you can ask for supernatural wisdom or the ability of God to do the work—either in the secular work or ministry work. God would not hesitate to give it to you as you ask. Peace.
