1 I BESEECH YOU THEREFORE, BRETHREN, BY THE MERCIES OF GOD, THAT YOU PRESENT YOUR BODIES A LIVING SACRIFICE, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, WHICH IS YOUR REASONABLE SERVICE.
2 AND do not be conformed to this world, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that you may prove what is that GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD."
Romans 12:1,2 (NKJV)

• Genuine transformation of a believer takes place in the soul or mind (Romans 12:2). A Believer who does not work in agreement with the Holy Spirit for the transformation of his or her mind would be led or controlled by the mind—the human nature.

  • Such a believer would not be different from an unbeliever. There are many professed believers whose lives are like that of the unbelievers, because their minds had not been transformed or renewed (Romans 8:7,8; 12:2).
  • Note: the renewing of mind is a lifetime process. You do not stop in the renewing of your mind.
  • We live in a dirty world, a contaminated world, there are lots of things that polluted the mind. Therefore, you have a responsibility to keep washing your mind with the Word of God. When you stopped the reading, studying, and pondering on the Word of God, you begin to dwindle in the spirit.
  • Those dirty things that find their ways into your mind, which you did not have the Word of God to counteract, would clog the flow of communion or fellowship with God—lagging in your walk with God.
  • Thus, the reading and studying of the Word of God should be a continuous exercise—daily and without any breaking or ceasing.
  • If you stopped feeding your mind with the Word of God, pollution would set in, your thinking and reasoning would be like that of the unbelievers.
  • You would see yourself acting like the unbelievers, because of the state of your mind; what you have on the inside of you determines what you do outwardly: "A GOOD MAN OUT OF THE GOOD TREASURE OF HIS HEART BRINGS FORTH GOOD; AND AN EVIL MAN OUT OF THE EVIL TREASURE OF HIS HEART BRINGS FORTH EVIL. FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS" (Luke 6:45 NKJV).
    READ: Matthew 12:34
  • You become stinking in the sight of God, when pollution sets in!

• Your body is of the Earth. And you also do have a responsibility to present your body a living sacrifice to God (Romans 12:1).

  • When your spirit and mind are sound, your body would be tamed and be made to be conformed to the Word of God—be holy and acceptable to God.
  • God wants a holy and acceptable body, this is the reasonable service of every believer (Romans 12:1).
  • Some do believe that God looks at the mind only, in His relationship with the believers. Having the thought that He does not bother with their bodies or their outward appearances; but this cannot not be true.
  • God does want a holy and acceptable body from the believers. You cannot be using your body as an instrument of Sin and still claim to be of God:
5 SO PUT TO DEATH AND DEPRIVE OF POWER THE EVIL LONGINGS OF YOUR EARTHLY BODY [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] IMMORALITY, IMPURITY, SINFUL PASSION, EVIL DESIRE, AND GREED, WHICH IS [a kind of] IDOLATRY [because it replaces your devotion to God]. 6 BECAUSE OF THESE [sinful] THINGS THE [divine] WRATH OF GOD IS COMING ON THE SONS [daughters] OF DISOBEDIENCE [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precepts]" (Colossians 3:5,6 Amps).
  • If you are a genuine child of God, you would keep your body from Sin and present It to God as a living sacrifice to be used for His purpose—that is a true service.

12 THEREFORE DO NOT LET SIN REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL BODY, THAT YOU SHOULD OBEY IT IN ITS LUSTS.
13 AND DO NOT PRESENT YOUR MEMBERS AS INSTRUMENTS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS TO SIN, BUT PRESENT YOURSELVES TO GOD AS BEING ALIVE FROM THE DEAD, AND YOUR MEMBERS AS INSTRUMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TO GOD. 14 FOR SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU, FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE."
Romans 6:12-14 (NKJV)
READ: 2 Timothy 2:19-21

  • Someone who lives in blatant Sin could not claim to be serving God, saying, God looks at the mind and not the outward appearance of a believer—body:
1 WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? SHALL WE CONTINUE IN SIN THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND [increase]? 2 CERTAINLY NOT! HOW SHALL WE WHO DIED TO SIN LIVE ANY LONGER IN IT?" (Romans 6:1,2 (NKJV).
  • Whatever you are on the inside should be seen or reflected on the outside.
If the inside is truly clean, that should be affirmed through your character—how you practice your Faith, and in your relationship with others.
  • The dirtiness on the outside, the filthy lifestyle you live, shows the dirtiness of the inside, or indicates that the inside is not clean. Whatever you had in your mind would show, reflect, in your attitudes—how you practice your faith and relate with other people:
18 BUT WHAT PEOPLE SAY WITH THEIR MOUTHS COMES FROM THE WAY THEY THINK; THESE ARE THE THINGS THAT MAKE PEOPLE UNCLEAN. 19 OUT OF THE MIND COME EVIL THOUGHTS, murder, adultery, sexual sins, stealing, lying, and speaking evil of others. 20 THESE THINGS MAKE PEOPLE UNCLEAN; eating with unwashed hands does not make them unclean” (Matthew 15:18–20 (New Century Version).
  • If your mind, which is the seat of thought, is saturated with the Word of God; you will have the thoughts of God in your mind, you begin to see things in God's point of view.

• Through the studying of the Word of God, by the help of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, your mind becomes sound or renewed or made whole spiritually.

  • Mind of Sin and fear is not of God, but the sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
  • The Word of God ignites faith in you, and it starts primarily in your mind.
  • Work on your MIND, and you go to places. The state of your mind, to a certain extent, determines your spiritual state.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • The hold of sicknesses which is broken now will never rise again in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
