A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT 2

"THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN, But its end is the way of death."
Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

• In most cases, the believers who allowed their human nature, or soul, to lead them usually believe they are being led by God.

  • Such believers could not differentiate between the leading of the Holy Spirit and that of their Will or mind or emotion—the self or human nature.
  • A lot of believers who are leaders in the church are in this group of believers. Most of what they do are done by the self. They do things as they are led by their human nature; the Will, mind or thought, and emotion.
  • Note: those in this group are not commiting blatant sins per SE, but they are still being ruled or governed or controlled by their thoughts; wills, and emotions. And that is detestable to God.
  • But those who are in this category would always mistakenly believe that they are mature believers, because they are not living in blatant sins, and they have the understanding of the Bible; but this is a fallacy—a false notion or an errorneous opinion.
  • The understanding of the Bible which such claimed to have are products of their minds and Will and emotion—what they were able to do or achieve through their human efforts or cleverness or rigorous study, but not by the revelational knowledge of the Holy Spirit.
  • This misconception or incorrect notion of their spiritual state shows in their works in the ministry, in which they use or engage their minds; what they thought—their wills and emotions—is whatever they wanted to do.
  • They usually would not bother to wait on God, the Holy Spirit, to lead or guide them. Their slogan is, If you can think it, you can have it or get it done. Whereas it is their mind, human nature, that is leading them.
  • Note: whatever you can conceive or plan and execute would not need God's involvement. If you could run without God, He would allow you. However, the race of a believer's life without God would not end well.
  • And whatever is not commanded or instructed by God, though might seem right, would eventually lead to death or destruction (Proverbs 14:12). Albeit, you have the choice to avoid calamities by asking for God's leadings or directions in whatever you wanted to do.

• A believer who is said to be spiritual or walking in the Spirit is the one who is led by God (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:16). Such Acknowledges God in all his or her ways, and does not lean on their own understanding—the self (Proverbs 3:5,6).

  • A believer who walks in the Spirit does nothing in haste. Such always patiently waits on God until he or she is sure of what God is actually saying or telling them to do, or where to go.
  • Your brain, your mind, would disappoint you. If you rely on your thoughts, on the self, as a believer; you would find yourself on a wrong path or way.
  • Waiting on God, staying in His presence to receive a direction from Him, is not foolishness. You have to be painstaking for you to receive directions from God. God is never in a hurry, He does things in His own way and time, and at His own pace.
  • Those who are submissive to the leadings of the Holy Spirit are the ones who have the mind of God, Christ: "FOR WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND AND PURPOSES OF THE LORD, SO AS TO INSTRUCT HIM? BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]" (1 Corinthians 2:16 Amps).
  • Believers who walk in the Spirit have the mind of Christ, through the Holy Spirit on the inside of them. They are guided and led by the thoughts and purposes of Christ, God the Father, through the Holy Spirit on the inside of them.

• It takes humility to be led or guided by God (Proverbs 15:33). It means the person who would be led had to be someone who has overcome the self; the human nature.

  • The journey starts with being born-again. You would have to agree with the Scripture that says: "LIKEWISE YOU ALSO, RECKON [consider] YOURSELVES TO BE DEAD INDEED TO SIN, BUT ALIVE TO GOD IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD" (Romans 6:12 NKJV).
  • The step is taken by faith, and you have the experiential part of it, being dead to sin but alive to Christ, as you progress in your Christian faith. Some who stopped at this level in their Christian faith and life, they ended up being ruled or governed by their human nature, their soul—the will, mind, and emotion.
  • The second part is as important as the first part, the flesh, the body or outward Man. When many people, believers, had succeeded in mortifying the flesh, they usually and ignorantly believed they had become a mature believer.
  • They would not know that there is another work to do, which is the saving of the soul or the submitting of the soul or the mind to the leading and control of the Holy Spirit on the inside of their spirit Man (James 1:21). You allow your soul, human nature, to be submissive to the leadings of the Holy Spirit.
  • When that is done, you would not be agitative again about whatever you wanted to get done. Whenever there is any desperation or agitation in whatever you wanted to do or get; such a thing you are aspiring for, is always being motivated by your human nature—your Will, or mind, or emotion—not the Holy Spirit.

• God will not lead a self sufficient person (2 Corinthians 3:5). Know that your personal opinion would always be contrary to that of God.

  • If you always talked, planned, or proposed to do, without being led by the Holy Spirit, you would be allowed to do your Will, and not God's (James 4:13-16). God will not rubber-stamp, or ratify, what you had made up or purposed to do in your mind without His approval.
  • God knows the Heart of all Men, If you had made up your mind on a thing, God might not bother to change it, but you surely would not get His support or approval.
  • God may be aware of your plan, but If you did not tell Him, or you would not want Him to interfere or be involved in it, or lead you on It; He would allow you, but not support It.
  • If you are rigid in your opinion, God will leave you to go ahead with your plans. God is simple, but strong, He would never consent to your plan which you did not get Him involved.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in Jesus' name.
  • Whatever hold of sickness or infirmity in your life is broken completely now, in Jesus' mighty name.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).

b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
