God and His Children!

(37. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38. Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. Matt 23:37-38 (KJV))
God made man with the unique ability to love God and to be loved by Him. If this is true and it is. Then why put this uniqueness in man? Because God desired a loving relationship with children! (26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 1:26-27 (KJV))
** Something I have always found intriguing is the Hebrew word for the English word "formed". (7. And the LORD God formed- [Yatsar]- (yaw-tsar)- man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Gen. 2:7 (KJV)).
**** This Hebrew word [Yatsar]-means to form, frame, fashion.....etc. But what is really awesome is that it draws a picture of, as in this case, God squeezing every blood vessel, muscle, bone, etc....individually into place.
A. (16. Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting. Isaiah 63:16 (KJV)).
We may be ignored by others, our earthly fathers may not acknowledge us....but not our Father in heaven!
B. God already possessed mighty spiritual creatures such as Angel's, zoe, seraphim, etc...which did not have to rely upon God for supernatural strength for He had already given that to them.
God desired to design someone who would need Him and gain their strength from Him, (13. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. Psalms 103:13-15 (KJV))
C. In the first book of the Old Testament (Genesis) God has made Himself children and in the last book of the Old Testament it seems like God wants to know that if He is being considered a Father then where is His honor, (6. A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? Mal. 1:6 (KJV))
So in the last book of the Old Testament it seems like He is wondering what has happened to His children.....but don't lose hope something is about to happen to open the door of opportunity for mankind to return back home to their Father, (6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)).
A. Let's look at the story a little closer, (30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.Luke 1:30-33 (KJV)).
- Jesus was not made by God's hand from the dust of the Earth, but rather made from the DNA of God by the natural rhythm to which all children are born....9 months in the womb! (29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29 (KJV)).
A. Jesus being the Father's first born had first rights to the inheritence, but God took things just a little bit furher by making us sons and daughters in Christ. So we are now co-heirs with Christ!
B. (14. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.15. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer withhim, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:14-17 (KJV)).
Some wonderful truths to consider! Blessings!
