Christianity And Boldness
The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1).
Boldness is the inverse of frightfulness. To be bold means an ability to get things done notwithstanding the dangers. Boldness is the scriptural way in which God needs the Gospel given. We are not to build up our own particular techniques based on personality or passion. We are to open our mouths and proudly vouch for the sparing power of Jesus Christ.
Really boldness isn't recorded among the nine fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5, but in (Isaiah 41:10) we are commanded to "Fear not, for I am with you", and in (Mark 12:30) we're also told to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Obviously, boldness is put forward in the Bible as an uprightness that we should strive for.
The proof of boldness is regardless of whether a man is making choices throughout the day that spin around their desire to keep away from strife. Assuming this is the case, then that is an unmistakable sign that weakness is winning out over fearlessness.
Similarly a man ought to inquire as to whether, in their own walk with God, they stay away from the Scripture sections that call for radical boldness. In the event that this is the situation, then the thrashing is there before you even hit the roads.
Subsequently we have to open ourselves to the difficult parts of Scripture—the ones that call us to do intense things—and additionally the more encouraging parts.
To be bold is not to be rude! Rudeness (also called effrontery) is a show of lack of regard by not conforming to the social standards or manners of a gathering or culture. Here are two things which may reduce the boldness of a Christian:
1. FEAR: There many instance in the bible in which God encourage His children not to be afraid. To me fear is one of the things that attract failure, fear simply means no confidence in ones faith. Fear will disqualify you in time of battle. The story of David and Goliath is one not to be forgotten by all Christians. Even while every other persons were afraid of Goliath, David with complete believe that God will defeat Goliath, stood before the giant in confidence. We have a lot of spiritual giants to battle as a Christian, in Ephesians 6:12 the word of God says,
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
As Christians we face a lot of principalities, and the only way to conquer is to be bold in our faith in Christ Jesus.
2. LIVING-UNRIGHTEOUS: Here is another thing that could damage our confidence in the faith, let's say for example a man who is a chronic sinner trying to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. What do you think would be the outcome of such show? The devil has powers but not greater than the power of God, the power God has given to us over the devil can be reduced if sin is present. Iniquity damages God's will for us, it reduces the authority we have in our faith. Most Christians who are guilty know this truth, and in them they know their prayer can't move a fly neither will any demons obey them when the pray. By so doing, the boldness of Christ is dead in them.
I urge everyone to avoid fear and sin, so as to build your boldness in Christ Jesus. A time may come when your prayers may help many, so don't disqualify yourself. Be bold and strong and you will conquer like David did. God bless!
