Why can’t you overcome sin ?

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Is there a sin that for some reason always takes the best of you? You seem to always fall into the same temptation over and over again even though you hate it ? According to this scripture it says that the world has a way of thinking “a pattern of thinking” and as long as you live in the world it will try to transform your mind to its pattern. It will make you do what the world does it will make you think how the world thinks it will make you speak like the world speaks the longer you are in the world the more you will be like it. So we have this two forces fighting to transform your mind the world and the word. One or the other will transform whether you like it or not even if you don’t make a decision you already did. So what we need to do is allow the word to transform the patterns that you have come to love all the years of your life. Will it be hard? Maybe but it will change your life it will help you get rid of that sin that always seems to be lingering around and best of all it will allow you to test and approve Gods will!!
