We are in the world but not from the world. 1 Peter 2:9 says: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Until you know who you are in Christ you can't function well as a Christian. Thank you for sharing this great post my friend @wilx!!

@wilx you are very right.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.

Wao Too much truth from part A.B Simpson.

It is necessary to be very much filled with God and to separate ourselves from the ordinary world and fill all that surrounds us with the smell of the knowledge of the Lord and his salvation.
Greetings and God bless you @wilx.

Certainly. In the primitive age the disciples of Christ overthrew the world. Today a large part of the Church is upset by the zeal of this century.

Well said. They are trying to fit into the world instead of changing the world. Thanks @wilx

We are supposed to be the salt of the earth. If salt has lost its flavor (indistinguishable from those around us) what purpose does it serve? We are supposed to be set-apart or different. Too often I realize that someone else looking or observing me would not say that I stand out. I need to change the way that I think so that my actions can stand out and be genuinely like that of Messiah.
