What is Your Life Plan? GPS with God! - Enjoy with Troy!

I once had a girlfriend who after breaking up with me she said she needed to find herself. Poor girl! I doubt she ever found herself. However to this day I have never understood that statement. And neither did George Bernard Shaw. For it was Shaw who said, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." Had I known those words then. (chucking) But what does creating yourself mean?

Apparently life must not be a journey but a creation of some sort. For if it is a journey to discover ourselves, where are we going and how are we going to get there? Do we have a plan or are we aimlessly a wandering traveler hoping some good soul (who is also trying to find themselves) will graciously take our hand and lead us to our journey's end? What kind of kool aid have we been drinking? What kind of reality is that to go through life? If you were to travel to a new city would you not take you GPS or at least a road map to help you? Should we not do the same in life?

So what is our road map or GPS? Many of us believe that God created all things including our life. Our first breath came from him. How else can we explain for our existence? The universe is so complex. As all living species are so intricate and interconnected, who else would have made this? We, as a human race, have enough problems taking care of our own sad lives. We certainly do not have the intellect and perception to create a human body or understand the complexity of this great system. Some force bigger, smarter and better created it for us and brought life to us. I would call that type of energy God, as I certainly am not of the same dimensional understanding as this master creator.

The Christian religion is grounded in the belief that we as people are made in His image. If his image is one of a creator, would we not have a purpose to create? God certainly did not design all of this by wanting to find himself in some journey. He had a plan for his creations. So too we need a plan for us, as we create our lives. But what is that plan or that GPS that we may use to help us? How can we figure this out?

The master creator knew we would need help...his help. That is why he gave us prayer and the Bible. God set out a plan for each of us a guide and a GPS in his Holy Book. He instructed us on how to get from our life to his home in heaven. There are all kinds of directions in this book to help us find our way. Without this book we will take unnecessary paths and get led astray, never to find his home. He has a mansion for us and we just need to get there. Think of it as traveling from your home country to another country. You do not want to be held at gunpoint or killed by terrorists in route. Neither does he want us to to be taken hostage with sin and terrorized by Satan and his demons. He cherishes you and makes every attempt to bring you to safety. However he need you to want to follow his plans and his GPS in your life. It is a choice we make.

He also offers us an opportunity to communicate through prayer. You can think of prayer as talking on your cell phone to him personally. The difference is that he gives a direct line to communicate that is of another dimension that is not of this world. This is his way for us to talk to God and for him to respond back. This is wonderful form of communication to help you get to your planned destination of a heavenly home. God is not Santa Claus but he will listen to you and respond with a yes, no or later. He wants a personal daily relationship with each of us. This is a relationship like you would have with those you love, just better. He does not force it on us. God gives us the choice.

What will you choose for your life? Will you go though life aimlessly trying to find yourself without a tested true plan? Or will you consult the original creator of this universe and of you? Will you consider the original GPS road map designer to help you create your future? He can help you find your true self. It is your choice. Choose wisely. Give your life to God today. Invite him into your life. Ask for forgiveness and turn away from your old ways of your life. Make a new direction in God's Positioning System(GPS) and let him navigate your life.
