RE: [Blog] Thoughts from the Front Lines: The Last Blessing

I am sorry that you must go through this. May eternal light shine upon her. I will pray for you and your family to guide you through these difficult times. I have nursed both my parents, my father-in-law and my husband and was present when they passed on. They get the most beautiful expression on their faces when the end is near. Like they are at peace. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease that robs people of their minds and memories. My aunt also passed the same way. Just slept away.

Thank you, Mama Castor. I can't even imagine being in this place with Ben - I'm glad you could be with your husband in that moment.

I hope for peace for Grandma. She is still troubled even though she doesn't open her eyes. It is amazing how much death and birth are alike and this part is tough.
