Easter With The Playgroup And The Kiddo

Every Wednesday there is a playgroup at our library for preschoolers. Basically for children 2-4 but younger ones are welcome too. We don't have a big population in our town so the playgroup varies in size but is usually under 10 children.

Yesterday was the Easter celebration for the little ones. We started with crafts coloring foam eggs and then went on to reading a spring story.

Frankie was very interested in the story as there were bunnies in it. She is all over bunnies lately. Her excitement was not containable.

After that the kids closed their eyes for the next surprise.

They got their baskets and went on an egg hunt! This was Frankie's first time doing it on her own. She knew what she had to do, I almost had a hard time keeping up. She rand for those eggs. Bounced around so much from excitement the eggs were falling out of her basket.

After that they decorated some bunny masks and got to run around in the gym pretending to be little bunnies. I was not able to stop her for a picture. At the end I did but she gave me a look... the do not disturb look :D

After that they got to make their own pizzas. They had lunch and enjoyed an easter treat for dessert, little Rice Krispie bird nests I made.

Frankie was not done with her egg hunt apparently as she took all the baskets and wanted to go for more. I was not quick enough to take a picture of this funny moment. But here is a picture anyways as it is interesting how it turned out.

The face she made... makes me laugh.

And they ended the playgroup with everyone on a pretend play going through the jungle (said one kid) and back to the library.

Thank you for coming to check out a part of our weekly routine with Frankie and me. She had a great time and was the life of the party ^_^ xx
