Behind the smiles that are often associated with birth, there is a reality that is rarely talked about: many parents feel regret after having a child. However, due to social stigmas and expectations, they are often afraid to express these feelings.

The common view is that having children is a necessity, or at least a natural part of one's life. Parents who express their regret are often perceived as irresponsible or unloving towards their children. Of course, this results in many parents feeling trapped—reluctant to talk about their feelings.

But if you want to be smarter, actually having children is not arbitrary, there is a need to realize that it is important to have children in a ready condition. So, for a group of people who already know, the paradigm above is starting to shift. More and more people realize that preparing themselves physically, emotionally, and financially before deciding to have children is a wise step.

So, with this enlightenment, comes the conclusion that having children in an unprepared condition, can bring difficult consequences and affect the lives of parents and children.

In addition, the emergence of the Childfree movement also provides support and validation for parents who do not feel the need to fulfill social expectations to have children as a benchmark in marriage. Childfree recognizes individual rights, including the choice not to have children.

Thus, a breath of fresh air begins to emerge in the minds of people who feel unsuitable or don't want to be parents without feeling guilty or unappreciated.

Conclusion
To avoid becoming a regretful parent after having children, you need to take some important steps.

When it comes to children who don't ask to be born, isn't it unlikely that they will still question why they were born (in a negative existential reflection), if they grow up in an environment of love, support and understanding?

When children feel loved and valued, they accept life as a gift and can go on their journey with confidence.
