Motherhood sculpture in progress

Here is a photo of my progress of this special sculpture. This is only the temporary clay piece that I will use to form a rubber mold, which I will cast many sculptures in different materials in the future.
This piece represents my motherhood path. The forms are me holding my baby with the umbilical cord coming from my caesarean wound, a moment I wish I could have had at her birth, but in reality, mother's don't get to hold their caesarean babies right away and the poor babies get their unbilical cords removed immediately after birth.
The second form is for a later piece when I represent my second birth. I will have a similar mama and baby sculpture but this one will show the cord coming from the vagina to show that the second baby was born naturally.
I will post photos of the rubber mold and eventually the cast sculptures.
