What's up STACKERS!
Christmas came early... "The Fam" just send me my gift and I received one of those Facebook Portal Plus Thingamajigs. 🤣
I've seen these "Facebook Portals" selling online and I was never interested in it because I thought it was just a huge webcam. I was totally wrong.
I had no idea that it had tons of functions. 🤷🏼♂️
On Facebook Portal, you can have 100% privacy calling, play music (has tons of base), watch youtube videos, search the web, and the best thing of all... it has "Alexa" built-in for Amazon stuff. 😳
I've been testing the portal an hour ago and it works great. It also has one of those crazy "smart" webcams that follows you around when you're moving around. So in other-words, its 100% hands free.

I haven't used Facebook at all this year, I only posted once since I found other blockchain social media websites.
However it's time for me to become more active on other platforms to bring more attention to things I want to share. Ya know... for "Droppin' Knowledge" and sharing blockchain stuff like Steem! 🤣
I know there are so many people who hate Facebook, Instagram, Youtube etc... etc... but that is where all the "eyeballs" are currently at.
If you are a marketer or want to stay connected with your family and friends, you still need to use these "old school" websites until "blockchain social media" apps become more adopted.

With all that being said, The Facebook Portal Plus is awesome. The only bad thing about it, one can expect to pay about $300 for it. OUCH!
What can I say? I'm now a proud owner of a huge webcam... well kinda ;)

You paid $300 for it but even $0 would be too expensive since you are paying with your privacy by letting 卐acebook monitor your home. How much would you pay for wearing a tracked ankle bracelet?

I'd say the worst part about it is that it's locked down to Facebook. It is nice that it works with YouTube though. I hope it doesn't go like so many other products and just slowly have features stop working as API's change.
Probably will be like google glasses, remember those 😂

I'm one of the few people that still wants something like those. Problem was they were a bit too expensive for too little features. And too many people freaked out about them. Most people didn't really get why they would want them, and didn't want the expense.
This, unfortunately many people will buy, and be locked into Facebook for tons of video calls. People like the idea of being closer to friends and family. The reality however, is not as fun.
Makes sense, I don’t even use regular text messages on my phone for the last 3 years. It’s all been through facebook messenger. I think facebook want to take over the world 😳😅
