Steemit Community: A Channel of Blessing

The room. The bedsheet color. The white walls. The cot. These were all familiar to me in 2014 when I was admitted for five days in this hospital. Although I had a good health insurance coverage and Philhealth, there was still that gnawing worry that my hospital bill would be more than my insurance coverages would cover. Family and friends visited me. However, I dont remember any of my friends ask me how can they help financially.

Now four years ago, I was reminded of my state of affairs when I saw the picture above. Only this time my heart feels warm knowing that there is an active community that wants to help. This man in the picture is not alone. I know there are those who pray for him, I know there is a family who takes care of him, and I also know there is Steemit community who becomes a channel of blessing to him. In this, the people in Steemit have become this man’s neighbors and God’s hands and feet.
