Charity : A journey to Jomar's health.
Hello Steemit Friends! This is shellychelle03 from Philippines. I would like to share to you Jomar's journey . I ask permission to his parents to post all his photos for charity.
Hi guys! I would like you to meet Jomar . Jomar is the youngest of 4, and he has a Cleft lip and Palate. His sister is only 3 years old, next is 6 years old and his oldest brother is 9 years old. He lives in Pasol Alcoy , Cebu. His mother doesn't have a regular work . She's just a laundrywoman "labandera" to people who needs her service. She is also a farmer . Her husband is a fisherman. The small earnings of the couple is not enough to sustain their daily needs.
This is Jomar and my Sister. He was 3 month old back then and weighs 3.2 kg.

My sister and I are nurses in Alcoy. She is assigned in Brgy. Pasol and I am assigned in different Brgy. My sister discovered Jomar during the Operation Timbang and approached me to help also Jomar. So we join forces to help Jomar. By the way, Jomar was Severly Wasted that time. He weighs 3.2kg when he was 3 months old. His Mother feeds him with sugar dissolve in water or porridge and sometimes Bearbrand if they have extra money.
This was during our home visit to Jomar. That is the way going to their house.
This is their simple and little house. The little girl in the door step is his older Sister.
Sometimes his Grandmother will look after him and sometimes his older Brother.
After what I've seen, I decided to ask help from best buddies. I ask for a little assistance especially milk since they cannot afford to buy one.
So this is what they gave for Jomar. Thankful for them.
After 3-5 months of unlimited supplies of milk from my friends , my sister and me. He is a jolly little cutie and gained some weight.
Months passed and Jomar is already 1 y.o. My sister and I planned to celebrate Jomar's Birthday in the Health Center together with my Barangay health workers.

This is Jomar's mom and siblings.
Last December 2017, there was this NGO from Australia who was looking for people who have cleft lip and palate. They have a Free surgery in Dumaguete . So, we decided to send Jomar together with his Mom for operation. After 3 days in Dumaguete, this is Him now.
This is him now. A different yet jolly Jomar.
It was a great feeling that I was able to help Jomar and his family. I was able to touch their lives. I am also thankful to my sister and my friends. Thank you so much guys. We did great!
