Steemit Challenge - Tokenized Talk (second idea)
When the comment becomes more important than the post
The idea is based on a contest I used to organize as the admin of the Steem-Travelers community. The contest was quite popular and had 17 (!) editions, so you could say the concept was already tested and received good feedback from the users.
- Are you annoyed that many Steemians complain they don’t get enough upvotes, or that the platform is too centralized, yet they never give upvotes to anyone else?
- Did you make a great post and feel nobody appreciates it, since there are no comments below?
- Would you like to increase your followers number, hoping to have some high-quality interactions with other bloggers?
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, this contest is made for you!
The idea is to motivate bloggers to read others’ content and vote for each other. This way, we all win—the authors will feel more appreciated, earn more, grow their reputation faster, the platform will become more decentralized, and we, by liking and commenting on others, will increase our visibility on Steemit, discover many bloggers worth following, and maybe find a friend or two interested in similar topics. Oh, did I forget about the money? There are still upvotes from the SC team to gain, like in every challenge, so monetary rewards should be included as another benefit.

How would it work?
Find a post interesting to you on the Steemit platform, published after the contest announcement, and read it carefully.
Upvote the post with at least 25% of your SP.
Write a valuable comment under the selected post. The comment can be in English or Spanish. I speak both languages fluently. You can also comment in Polish, but I’m pretty sure nobody is such a masochist as to learn my native language, so I don’t expect many Polish entries ;).
Comments with 10+ words will receive 1 point, 50+ words = 5 points, and 100+ words = 10 points. Spam comments will be removed—you have to prove you read the post.
Tag @papi.mati in every comment you want to include in the contest.
You cannot power down while participating or use AI to generate comments. Anyone caught using AI will be banned from all future editions.
Remember it’s recommended not to go below 80% of your voting power. Because of this, you can submit a maximum of 40 upvote + comment sets per day (if your SP is below 500, limit yourself to 10 sets per day).
The contest will last 6 days from the announcement, then be inactive for one day so I can calculate results and start the new weekly edition. This means you can submit up to 40x6=240 entries per edition.
Among all comments, we will choose the two most active commentators to receive an SC team upvote. Another two SC upvotes will go to users who wrote the most interesting comments. This time SC team will be upvoting comments instead of posts. Unorthodox, but it was done years ago with onepercent and twopercent hashtags project, I think. The only difference is that this time VP will be significantly higher than 2%.

About me
Polish/Argentinian/Norwegian... well, who knows and who cares where I am from. I am changing nationalities and places where I live more often than some people change their socks, so it's difficult to follow.
It's difficult to write down everything what I have been doing, so let me focus just on a few things that I consider to be the most important. I wrote many tutorials for the new bloggers , I was working as the greeter as well. With my team I was responsible for the Steemcurator06 account for a while. Besides that I have been a founder and administrator of Steem-Travelers community , where I was trying (unfortunately without success) to initiate some sort of Airbnb-like experience connected with Steemit. I was also a moderator in Steem Skillshare community. I created AC-Cheetah to fight with plagiarism and abusers, making downvote trail. I was organizing Steemit Oscars , and I was making monthly Lists of Active Communities . I also created the first printed newspaper with the articles from Steemit.com, which was distributed for free in various places in Argentina (you can read about it HERE, HERE, AND HERE .
During the following days, I am planning to present five different suggestions for the next Challenge season. If more than one of them will get your attention, I gladly inform, that realistically , my time resources allows me to be responsible for up to three of them at the same time.
As the contest will surely have tens, if not hundreds of entries per day, I will use help of my partner, @diegocelma, to pre-review posts, checking its length, making sure the user read publication before commenting, and verifying if they are not written by AI. Diegocelma is a new user, he is just learning the platform, but he already knows how to do it.

I can vividly remember the comment contest where at the end of the comment, the person will use the #travellersays hashtag. It was a popular contesf then that made lot of people locate steem traveller's community including me.
Thank you for your comment!
Yes, in my opinion, it boosted the quality of the blogging experience. Of course, monetary rewards are gratifying for writers, but knowing someone reads your post is equally important. Tracking the hashtag in comments was challenging—I had to check posts one by one. That’s why I suggest tagging me directly instead; it’ll be much easier to find entries across the entire Steemit platform
Yes 👍 you're right ✅️

It's just the concept - suggestion for the next Steemit Challenge season. It's not the contest until it's approved by the steemitblog, my friend :)
Got it! I will remove it from the list.
Hmmm, it is a good way and good practice for newbies and all steemians to finding best posts and engaging with them. I liked your this idea it is intresting than your first idea.
Thank you! It surely is less obvious than the first option
Well papi, I would like to highlight one point.
It is good for encourgment but how you will fight with AI generted comments, because in steemit engagement challenge we faced this issue when communities choosed thier winners on the base of participant's engagments.
For the further imformation you can talked with @alejos7ven , because he fighted against them.
Yes, give rewards based on comments is useless now due to AI. We saw it in the past, almost everyone with thousands of comments written by AI
Yeah that's the point, it is useless..
Thank you for your comment! I appreciate your concerns.
It's not that difficult to recognize what comment was written organically, especially when one is reading the posts and see what language does people use in their publications.
Maybe it's naive from my side, but I believe some writing has to remain with the upvotes here. It we will fixate too much into fighting with AI or if we will create tens of weird, limiting rules, we can just shut down the portal - the result will be the same. We are, at the end of the day, on the platform for the writers :)
Maybe in that case would be worth considering giving the rewards exclusively for the best comments, not for the number of comments per se. That would definitely would make getting the reward more difficult for the cheaters.
Yes definatly papi can fight against them, I just want to highlight this point for you. Well overall i really likeyour this idea.
Yes it's a good idea and i gusse community curators are focus on it.
