Steemit Challenge - Steem Street Hunt (third idea)
Steem Street Hunt
The concept involves transforming the challenge into a scavenger hunt-style game. Each week would feature 5 specific items to find and photograph, plus one additional task. Participants must create a post with all required photos and the completed task, scored based on the accuracy and creativity of their submissions.
The photo challenges would focus on globally accessible items—nothing region-specific. For example, instead of asking for a llama (which excludes those outside South America), we can ask for a four legged animal caught eating. This broad category is inclusive, and at the same time, by adding the "eating" element, it becomes a bit more challenging.
To prevent the use of photos from the internet (which I’ll verify anyway), or old archive pictures from users' albums, I could add authentication rules sometimes, like including a piece of paper with "Steemit" written on it, or requiring a thumb-up selfie with the object.
The final weekly task would involve non-photography activities, for example:
- Create a Steemit promo poster
- Make a short TikTok promoting the platform,
- Design a short comic strip about Steemit.com.

Example of a Weekly Contest:
.jpg)
- Find someone who will take a funny-face selfie with you. Include a piece of paper with “Steemit” written on it.
- Take a photo of any bird with the sunrise behind it.
- Take a photo of a traditional product, ornament, or custom from your country. To prove it’s new, include your thumbs-up in the photo!
- Find an edible plant in nature and take a photo pretending to pick it.
- Find something with colors like Steemit’s and take a photo of it.
- TASK: Draw a funny comic strip (3-10 pictures) about your experience writing on Steemit.

This idea seems interesting to me. Firstly, because it is new and would really require something completely different. On the other hand, you could use a good metadata reader to ensure that at least the photos are not AI-produced... 😖
So: good idea... 👍
Although I don't particularly love the fact that you create a separate post for each idea. I follow you and such "constant posting" is annoying in the feed...
Thanks for the feedback. I have two more ideas, and I will condense them in one post (perhaps tomorrow, or day after). I will also put more attention to what you wrote about, and will try to not overwhelm followers with my posts ;)
Ah, now I have a guilty conscience again because I may have sounded too harsh...
But, no. I'm in favour of saying things as we feel them and not joining the circle of those ‘disciples’ who blindly follow and just don't say anything because they're afraid the sc might take offence. THAT is embarrassing! Unfortunately, this is exactly where the Steem user community has been heading in recent years. Many of them. Not all of them. And so I'll take your thanks for the feedback honestly. The positive feedback on what I consider to be a really good idea and the much more personalised... ;-)
Nah you did a right thing - no need to feel guilt at all. You are always welcomed to give your most honest opinion under my posts, and I know it will come from your good will. I appreciate it. I may agree or disagree with it, and that another thing :) In that case, I totally agree, I could just have make one post instead of five (well, now four:) ).
And thanks for the good feedback of my idea! :)
I find it super fun, refreshing, the idea is to enjoy creating content, I hope the proposal is selected, blessings.
Thank you!
