Cemetery Photos Challenges: Lakeview Cemetery, Seattle
#Cemeteryphotos Challenge by @melinda010100
I saw this fun challenge by @melinda010100, and decided to participate.
I am generally creeped out by cemeteries (don't know why, just do), but when one of my fellow PhD students - a specialist on death in the Pacific Northwest - offered a tour of Lakeview Cemetery as a special Halloween tour, I decided to take it.
Seattle's Lakeview cemetery is probably one of the most scenic cemeteries in Washington State. Perched atop Capitol Hill, it offers views of both Lake Washington, and the Puget Sound.

From the cemetery, you can also catch a glimpse of Seattle's Space Needle:
Aside from views, it is also the final resting spot of many famous Seattleites, from founding fathers, to celebrities:
Princess Angeline - daughter of Chief Sealth, whom Seattle is named after:
Seattle Pioneer, David Denny, and the Denny Family:
Seattle Pioneer, Henry Yesler:
But probably the most famous tombstone in Lakeview Cemetery, is this - Bruce & Brandon Lee:
It is a very interesting cemetery. If you happen to be in Seattle, do pop by for a visit!
Hi @solewalker, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @melinda01010 doesn't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @melinda010100 ?
