DailyCelestialChallenge: Thursday-ForcesNature.
Hello, such friends of steemit, again in this successful #CelestialChallenge initiative by @sirknight, blessings for @steemchurch. Thursday- Forces Nature.
The rainbow is a natural phenomenon that occurs when the sun's rays pass through small drops of water contained in the earth's atmosphere, so it appears very often when the water of the dew or rain in the air makes the inevitable contact with light and the rays of the sun causing a combined effect by refraction becoming a mosaic of small flashes of light scattered by the many drops of rain, distributed in turn like an arc in the sky, showing itself visible to us as a continuous gradient of spectral colors that can be defined in seven fundamental colors: red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue and violet; that is, the rainbow is a multicolored arc of light that can be seen in the sky when the sun's rays are reflected and refracted in the water.
The different sizes and shapes of the drops affect the intensity of the colors of the rainbow. The small drops make a pale rainbow of colors with pastel tones; the large drops produce very bright colors, some of them are crushed by the resistance of the air as they fall and this distortion causes the end of the rainbow to have more intense colors.
Not everyone has the possibility to see a complete rainbow or we can all see it in the same way most only see half of it, the reason is simple, our vision is blocked by the earth and therefore we can not see where it begins or where it ends . However, if it is possible to see a complete rainbow in its circular form as long as the atmospheric conditions and the observation site are perfect for example: during plane flights it would be a great opportunity, since if you reach high elevations our field of vision it expands.
The truth is that the rainbow is produced since the times of our ancestors and has always been considered a phenomenon as amazing as overwhelming; Sometimes taken as a carrier of auguries, in others as inspiration for legends and always as a work of art, the human being has never ceased to seem wonderful.
It is very important to note that in the biblical story of the book of genesis the rainbow symbolizes the first covenant recorded in the scriptures that God establishes after the universal flood with the people he loves, this appropriate symbol will appear as a sign of the divine will and reminds us the promise made by God to Noah that he will never again destroy the earth with a flood.
Genesis 9: 13-15
I have put my bow in the clouds, which will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. And it will happen that when I bring clouds over the earth, my bow will be seen in the clouds. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and there will be no more flood of waters to destroy all flesh.
