The Chinese Wall
On the day of the structures, I will talk about the world's greatest engineering work. The Great Wall of China, a great continuous wall that the Ming built in the 15th and 16th centuries, at least 7,000 kilometers. The considerable dividing line defensive built by the emperors north of their empire with bricks and stones with a chain of towers attached by wall paintings.
Along the walls the towers were located on an appropriate path to quickly transmit the alarm.
With small horses but of gigantic steps the riders were of taking arms and super skilled archers.
Regarding its length, there is a lot of controversy, since it depends on a good measure of the sections of the wall. In 2012, a study was carried out by Chinese researchers who threw the astonishing total of 21 thousand 196 kilometers, although you can not talk
At the end of the wall, this relationship is sometimes assigned to the so-called Head of the Old Dragon, an extension of 23 meters built in the seventeenth century that enters the waters of the Yellow Sea, northeast of China.
Today this great wall was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987. It is the most famous monument in China and is very proud for them, it appears in the lyrics of the National Anthem of their country. Since 2007 it is part of of the "New Seven Wonders of the World".
