Buddhism Meets Roman Catholism

in #cebu5 years ago

Hi Steemians! Hope you are having a good day with a smile on your face and the calmness on your hearts.

My blog for today is where I went to a temple named Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple.

This was mainly in focus of buddhism though I haven't been really into their activities such as calligraphy, buddha bathing, lighting up their candles, trying out chinese costumes and writing a wish on a fortune tree because there are fees to pay to actually do those and I don't think it was necessary nevertheless, the activities were impressive because they had a lot of activities for people to try.

These are the photos that I've gathered while I was there.

The facade of the temple

This is the buddha located on the other wing of the temple and activities were also held here.

Also after the temple, I visited the Cebu Cathedral Museum and got a lot of photos from their yard and the things the infuential priests used when they were serving the church including the late Cardinal Vidal of Cebu!

The space on the cathedral that was setting off a calming vibe

The only thing that I realize when these two religion meet is faith. They are the religion that sets people to more believe and have more faith because of statues of saints and embodiement of Buddha. Setting the differences if the two, these religions cultivates the believers mind, soul and spirit that guides them in living godly, peacefully and honorably here on earth!

Thank you for reading and May God bless to all of you! #
