One picture one story
Going through my photos today, this very picture of my dear professor Celestine Iwendi caught my attention. It was his birthday and we his students made a decision to celebrate him in a ground style.
We decided to give him a surprise even though here in the UK it is not ideal for a lecturer to take gifts from their students but we decided to at least say a big thank you to him for all he has done for us.
From the image you can see him with a beautiful smile as one of us presented him with a flower 🌹. It was a beautiful moment for him because he never expected such a show of love.
Anyways, we gave him what we had and then sang a beautiful birthday song for him and then he in turn bought a few snacks for all those present and we joyfully had a memorable celebration.
Immediately after snapping pictures and eating the snacks we went ahead to the business of the day which is studies and research. Professor Iwendi is both a mentor and a tormentor, so as his students we don't have rest we are always working on one project or the other.
So guys, that is all about this amazing picture I have shared with you. I hope you like it and will be ready for the next story. See you all in my next publication.
🎉 Congratulations!

@simonnwigwe, this post radiates warmth and genuine appreciation! It's fantastic to see the bond you and your classmates share with Professor Iwendi. The photo captures such a beautiful, candid moment. It's a testament to the impact he's had on your lives, going beyond just academics. The little details, like the surprise and the snacks he shared, paint a vivid picture of a truly special connection. It's also quite interesting culturally to note the differences in gift-giving norms in the UK! Thanks for sharing this heartwarming story and reminding us of the power of gratitude. I'm sure Professor Iwendi would be touched to see this post. What's the most impactful lesson you've learned from him so far? Looking forward to your next story!
