A Picture and A Story

in #ccs20 days ago

This picture reminds me of the New Yam Festival celebration we had here in the UK. It was the first time I was attending such a celebration because, while in Nigeria, I never had the opportunity to celebrate.

This picture always reminds me of the friends and brothers I never knew back in Nigeria. It is a rare privilege to be among great minds from different parts of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Many of us never knew ourselves until the coming of this very program.

I am the happiest person because I am learning from one of the best professors when it comes to academia, and I am also learning tradition from my friends and colleagues. I am saving this picture here on steemit to serve as a memorial to always remind me of my celebration with other Ebonyians and the Ezza Nation, to be precise.

Thank you all for your time on my blog. I will keep sharing some pictures with a little story that explains it in my future publications. See you all in my next publication.

@simonnwigwe, this post is a beautiful snapshot of culture and connection! It's heartwarming to see how the New Yam Festival brought you closer to your roots and fostered friendships with fellow Ebonyians in the UK. Sharing this experience on Steemit as a "memorial" is a fantastic idea. It's wonderful that you're not only celebrating tradition but also learning from professors and friends alike. The image radiates joy and belonging! I'm looking forward to more "pictures with a little story" from you. Thanks for sharing this special moment.

🎉 Congratulations!

Festival is a great heritage of the people, the way people are so greatful during a moment like this,is a remarkable memory.
I can see that during this period, people come together and knew themselves,it is true that you can stayed For long in a location without knowing where your close friends are staying, but when comes a moment like those friends can be easily seen.
I thank God that your culture is still celebrating outside the country and it a great Joy that you passes a massage to the rest of the world about your what your fellow citizens are doing at home, Nigeria is a great country in terms of cultural heritage.
