Discussion: Did you receive an upvote from a witness?

Some questions regarding giving/receiving upvotes

  1. Do you want an upvote?
Do you hope for a big reward, and do you have any idea who can give it if you’re not the one?

  2. Do you know how SP is accumulated, which allows you to receive an upvote?
Do you have any idea how much time and energy it takes when starting from zero?

  3. Have you ever received an upvote from a witness or a notification that you got an upvote?
If so, do you say "thank you," check what the value was (steemworld.org is an option), return an upvote, or does it not matter much to you?

  4. When you think about an upvote given by a witness,
Do you have a specific amount in mind?

  5. Who do you think a witness should reward?

  6. Does someone with a lot of SP deserve a higher upvote?
Think about the percentage of the upvote: for example, a newcomer might get 0.01% of the VP’s value, while someone with a lot of SP could get 50% or more.

  7. Upvoting posts/comments is not unlimited
How should this be distributed best? As we all know, many make the pool very thin...

There are several questions, I will tell you what I do: A comment that I make is accompanied by a vote, both are important, when I DO NOT have the power to vote, I comment and then I place it, the point is that it always accompanies the comment, a vote for me is an incentive to my work of reading and giving a good comment, I read because it is fair, even if it is a photo that a person places takes time... I think that the people who are more active should have more positive votes, it is fair in my opinion, there are users who come and go, the moderators should focus on those who persist who work constantly, it is the fairest in my humble opinion

I wish you a happy start to the week

I wish you the same and add a vote to make 0.01 not be given in vain.

I agree with what you've mentioned about those who are active. Of course, those who are adding content to the platform and keeping it alive (regardless of their contribution), they should receive more positive votes.

I have analyzed the behavior of some users, they actively appear when the price increases, and the opposite when it is stable or even decreases, those of us who work constantly deserve better incentives

I see.. I don't remember checking the price of Steem before using the platform. I think it is irrelevant. Especially the fact that, I need to grow my account more at this stage.

I noticed your account before as you are consistently posting..

They exist, and it's their lost - I think-. :)

That I noticed too and always good for good rewards no matter how many times they powered down.

I add a vote to guarantee a payout.

I assume that who is more active is automatically noted more frequently but there's also a huge problem. By far not every post is worth the read and the question already arose to pay for (certain) posts. Are there posts you are willing to pay for just to see one photo or read the text? If so, what would you like to read?

If it comes to voting

There is no way I can upvote those who post more than 2 times per day. I do it at times but if I give all my votes to that person there's nothing left for someone else. Also... if I always vote for the same people (which I frequently do) my CSI drops and it looks as if I never upvoted anyone.
No one will say: she gave 400 votes so she does invest in other Steemians or the platform, they will say that I only give to my handful of friends and do not invest in others (no matter if they invest in me).

The question and therefore the discussion is about witnesses giving votes.
The top witnesses are as good as the SC teams, so if it comes to receiving upvotes there's no need to wait for a steem curator who might vote for you, but...

The witnesses cannot vote unlimited (like you and me or the steemcurator accounts).

Now the question which occurs is: should the witness give all votes to those who voted for him/her or can s/he say: I vote for the posts I like?

Example: with only 100 votes, the voting might be, possible if there's enough SP (some voters also delegate to the witness), but what if there are more, there is a lack of SP or what if the witness feels he has to reward every voter with an amount (some witnessses do this).

What is realistic?

The automatic reply

If you receive the message you are upvoted, can you expect the vote (if given) is at least 0.01 cent?
If this is not the case, or is not possible, isn't it wiser to not mention it and just say "hi" or let the automatically send message behind?

I understand, but it is fair that the most active are always taken into account, some users appear and disappear according to the price of steem and sbd, well, if I were a moderator, I would try to encourage constant, persevering users who work and interact daily, these are the ones who deserve better motivations, a positive vote makes us feel good, obviously, we are working, I don't think anyone here comes just to chat hahaha, well there will be no shortage of those who say that is what they do hahaha, it's not ME, I work, I interact and I must receive something for my time, which by the way is valuable, look, it's been half a year and recently I was putting up Christmas lights in my house, LIE hahaha, I don't put up any Christmas decorations.

I asked you to give a hand as moderator twice but never received an answer

I can imagine a community is also hapoy with new types if writing styles and new faces but it's hard if money is the only drive. Users tend to hop from one contest to tue nextband don't care about building a strong community.

The banglades community did. Indepemdant as I understand. All SP delegated and everyone a good upvote (at least that's what I hope).

We don't come to chat since there's no chat room and the most have no idea how connecting with others can benefit them. Like it did with you.

Or that voting can generate an income.

Yes, I answered, the time factor is the issue. What can I say... I work on the panel, I like interacting with some users, and of course I vote. I'd say I'm an example to follow, hahaha.

but you already are present and you comment. There isn't more to it. No way we do reports but thanks for letting me know.

I do the samebbut it also drains me and it would be goid if more would use the voting option they have. It's not that the vote us paid out of their wallet

Besides they can promote themselves and earn with it.
I frequently upvote everywhere, comments invluded where it says 0.01 because these upbotes are not paid out unless it is 0.02

Complex questions. It is difficult to answer them objectively. In my opinion, the evaluation of posts should not depend on the SP in the wallet. Otherwise, there will be no influx of newcomers. The resource must develop, fill with more and more new users.

Thank you for your answer. I l like to show you the answer a witness gave me as I made a remark about the 0.01% upvote I received, which, of course, is 0. Now I am one of those people who say "thank you" and in many cases automatically give an upvote back. My upvote is never 0.

From his response, I understand he upvotes everyone who voted for him, so he never reads who posts what? If this is the case it's not difficult to understand not everyone can receive a valuable upvote if this is done daily.

Should a witness upvote everyone who votes for him? Or can a witness rotate, vote for good posts, what he likes?

A portion of @jswit's SP is delegated to @jsup service to support delegators who delegated SP to @jsup. The remaining SP is used to give automated upvotes to witness voters and vote weight is proportional to account's own SP. It's automatically calculated according to daily amount of voting power consumption.

SP for upvote has been always increasing because I never power-down @jswit, but the rate of increase is not so good due to low witness rank.

I'm not sure what kind of expectation you have but it seems I can't provide you that. But I don't think that gives you a right to insult me. If you want to insult me, at least provide enough justification. If you think you deserve bigger upvote from @jswit, provide good reasons why I have to override the current vote weight calculation algorithm and give you some kind of special privilege than others.

Steemit users vote for delegates.

Some delegates vote for posts of those who voted for them in gratitude. Logically, they should vote proportionally. Those who have more savings in their wallets get a higher percentage of votes. But at the same time, they have no such obligation. This is everyone's free choice.

I agree with you that it is a free choice. Any idea what will happen if the most votes and the highest only go to those with a high SP regardless of what they post?

Thank you for taking part in the discussion.

I think when someone upvotea certain content, they appreciate the author's contribution or the post itself. Otherwise, why would one choose to upvote a certain post, not another? It could be random too.

OThis is about witnesses giving upvotes. Should they? And if so to whom? Only those who voted for them? Should they give (daily) upvotes in exchange for a vote?
Can they ignore that fact and simply vote for good posts or?

Is there a difference between a witness and you and me?
Should everyone who once voted for you receive a vote back?
Or do we give all votes to those we follow or the ones following us?

Well, everyone has their opinion.. If all witnesses were upvoting those who voted for them. Then, we would have everyone vote for the same witnesses.

Should everyone who once voted for you receive a vote back?

If someone voted for you once and their vote is below $0.02. Then, it would easily be missed. So, it wouldn't work for everyone. However, there is nothing that says that you have to reciprocate.

Why is a vote of 0.02 missed and not valuable? You can easily check who voted for you and with 0.02 you are paid out. It's not dust.

Any idea how those with low SP can grow if only the ones with a lot of SP receive the higher upvotes?

What I am saying is, not everyone checks steemworld website. Votes below 0.02 are not dust. But, there are no notifications received for those votes. If someone is not checking those who voted for them, they won't be able to find that out. Except for those who give high votes.

Yes it is dust. It is even mentioned underneath the posts with 0.00 or 0.01! The mention pips up!

To make a big income! There are who earn 80 dollars or more per week by voting for those they know will always receive a high reward!

Bigbwhsles
Those using bid bots
Steem Representatives
Steem Curators
Certain moderators
Those wirking for Steem witnesses
You name it.

I didn't know about that. But, as far as I know, if you vote for someone, you'll receive SP. Not, liquid form of Steem. Unless, they're voting for themselves.

I appreciate you for being generous those who are active and even in a small community. If all steemians have the same mindset, steemit would be a better place.

I believe we are back at where we started and we met, good friemdships started. I hope we will do a bit better this time if it comrs to griwth but I still believe that many little ones make a big one.

🍀♥️

Good intentions will last forever thank you for understanding and support 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

I'm still learning but I'm a slow one. There's so much question marks in my head about this. I'm 17SP now and it's still 0 when I upvoted. I'm sure all my seniors here must have spent plenty of time to be where they are today.
I tried to do things thee usual way when I'm on other platforms, reciprocating through my notification but when I got to the person who upvoted me, they didn't post anything. What should I do with that?
Does Steemit has anything like private messaging? My resources runs out fast after a few replies.

Been there.. It is like that at the beginning. The RCs are valuable only at the beginning. But, then, you will have a lot that you cannot use.

What is it you can or couldn't use?

I meant to say that, when you have more than enough SP.. You wouldn't be able to use all your RCs.

I know nothing about RC. I just post, drop a few comments and leave

I don't think it should be relevant for you to know about it at the stage. But, you can check steemblockexplorer website to find how much RC you've used and how much you've got left.

I'm not sure if I can remember all questions but if it comes to the witnesses I'm sure I received an upvote even if I don't know who most witnesses are. I mean my account didn't start yesterday and a few are active so my answer is yes.
I lie if I say how or what with SP and the rest of those "letters". I'm not the most active and simply forget about Steemit if work and interests take over. I'm not sure if I have an amount in mind since Steemit is not what I focus on. I try to answer and vote in the past and now. There was a while I gave up on it due to lack of response. I delegated cause lack of time so not much left to give. So my vote is more a sign like 'I was here's.
