I Miss Little Sammy

I really miss this little guy. He was one of the foster kittens I had been watching grow from a tiny newborn baby animal to this size right before we adopted him out to hopefully a loving home. He was given to a man who knew someone in the family of the people I have been staying with this summer. This man was said to be getting a divorce, so he prnbably wanted an animal or pet for a companion. Me being the concerned "Auntie" that I was I worried a lot about him and how he would get along. Last I heard everything was fine. So I hope things will always be that way. The kitty had teeth and claws as big as a tomcat in training! I wish I could see him grow up to be an adult cat but thats the way it goes when you can't keep anymore cats anymore. I've had my share and am happy with it for the most part. Back home in New Jersey I still have a very adult kitty so when I go back there she will be happy to see me and vice versa.

When fostering kittens you learn to love them as much as you can, and try to detach yourself too when the time comes to do so. I thought it would be harder than it was. I had tears going down my eyes of course that day he left but it was also reassuring that there was hope for him that would be more than anyone else could give him here. Things work out that way sometimes for the better.

I didn't help with the birth of this little guy but I helped with the birth of his "sis-fur" who you will probably be meeting soon enough one day in another post as we still have her around right now at least. They were both as rowdy as can be and the energy they exuded was phenominal. I just love cats but for me and my age anymore they can be tiresome too in ways. I tried to provide the best playtime room here possible for them and watched them whenever I could in between working online. Made the room as kitten proof as I could. Made sure loose wires were not in their claws and mouths for very long You have to train them young for that especially, although I never had any trouble with adult cats I have gotten thankfully. But there are some curious kitties you do have to watch out for in that department.

Made sure there was nothing on the floor most of the time they could pick up and eat that they weren't supposed to. And cleaned as much as possible in general. The closet was one place that was not that easy for them to avoid getting into, so make sure you have a good door on it if they are in a room with that. You're sure to have happy kittens that grow into happy adult cats for the most part that way. Of course the one thing I always stress for getting pets is make sure you set some money aside for their medical care, because you're going to need it. Cats and all pets deserve to have medical care just like their hooman care givers do.

Thank you and hope to do the same, nice to meet you!

So cute kitty and nice of you to foster. :)

Well, it was unexpected but I didn't mind. Being I'm a big animal lover and such. It's been ages since I have had a few kittens around me, they were so sweet but very active. One of them here still is at times.
