Watching, Waiting
The botanical gardens in Buenos Aires - Jardin Botanico - is a beautiful place, and completely filled with stray cats. You can take a seat on any bench, and within a few minutes you'll likely be joined by a cat (or six), and see local residents coming in with food to spend some time with them.
Not all the strays are friendly, however, and I spotted this one who had found a quiet spot behind one of the buildings. The late afternoon shadows hit perfectly, and I couldn't resist taking the shot (one click, however, and she threw me some evil eye and slinked away).
The first cat show was organized in 1871 in London. Cat shows later became a worldwide craze.
Tigers are excellent swimmers and do not avoid water.
